Lake Mary, FL -- All the employees have left, the shelves are empty, and the doors are locked at many Albertsons locations in Florida. What's next for Albertsons is that each store is auctioning off the rest of the furniture, store fixture, and odds and ends. You could own a piece of history. The only other Albertsons location still open to shop at is in Altamonte Springs.
The auction is being conducted by SB Capital Group, LLC on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 starts at 10;05am at the Albertsons Lake Mary location. The preview of the auction items is from 9am - 10am. There is a 14% buyers premium and sales tax in effect for all auction items sold. For more information go to www.sbcapitalgroup.com/current_events
The next Albertsons Auction is at the Conroy Windermere Road location on Thursday, June 14, 2012
Happy Valentine's Day! Unfortunately, this desolate floral department (in a since-closed Dominick's) doesn't have what you may be looking for today.

Gentlemen -- Are you having fun and thoroughly enjoying the tenth hour of your Solo Vegas Vacation? Good! So now, what do you think of your first close look at the fabulous and expansive Eataly Italian Marketplace & Food Hall? This massive Italian food court was still under construction last spring when you and your very lovely lady were vacationing on the Las Vegas Strip. You and your very lovely lady really enjoyed staying here in 2015 and 2016 when it was the Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino, so how well do you like this place now in 2019 as the Park MGM?
This is the long straightaway section of belt that once led from the right-side cash registers to bring car order bins into the basement on their journey to the car order room at ex-A&P store 386. Today this store is a Food Basics, but the conveyor system, which closed 10 years before A&P today, is now long gone. The upper belt for the left-side cash registers only appears further ahead.

The 'forward', 'reverse' and 'stop' buttons used to control the old car order conveyors. There was this set in the basement (rarely used), a set at the end of each belt in the car order room and a set at the beginning of each belt near the cash registers.
The service industry is an important employer in the city. The city centre is one of the main shopping areas, with the pedestrianised Cruises St being one of the main shopping streets and also the recently pedestrianised Bedford Row. New on the agenda is the proposed pedestranisation of O'Connell St up to Roches St near the Oriental Foodstore and a new look for William St, the heart of Limerick City. Each side of the city has outlying shopping areas. Crescent Shopping Centre is in Dooradoyle, not far from the city centre. It has over 90 shopping outlets along with restaurants and the 12-screen Omniplex Cinema. Regular bus services run from the city centre to the Crescent Shopping Centre. The Jetland Shopping Centre is in Caherdavin. It opened in 2005. Its main anchor is Dunnes Stores, with other shops and services including Golden Discs and Costa Coffee
The Milk Market located at Cornmarket Row in the city centre sells locally produced foods and products. The market is run by the Limerick Market Trustees and is one of the oldest markets run in the country. The market is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the Saturday market acting as the flagship and most popular market day. In 2010 work was undertaken to redevelop the existing market premises to an all – weather, all year round market facility as the market operated in an outdoor environment. The work involved constructing a large canopy over the existing market premises and was officially re-opened in June 2010.

This scene was typical of most Dominick's by mid-December. The Dominick's warehouse was running out of product to ship to individual stores, and no more goods were being ordered once the closings were announced.
Another from Burnt Oak, this time past the top of the Watling on Burnt Oak Broadway looking at Stag Lane. Changed a bit over the years but the big old department store building with the clock on it is still there, though it is a Poundstretcher now. The post office is a Romanian foodstore now, and the old NatWest bank where Is et up my first account, that's some kind of amusement arcade of which there are, inexplicably, several around this junction. Obviously more useful than having a bank. The traffic rolled past as I sketched on this sunny morning, I had to add the colour afterwards though because I was getting bored drawing up there. All more scenes from the area I grew up in, though I live across the sea. When my family finally move from here as is inevitable I won't come back as often so am sketching it while I can.
A documentary pic from the first shopping in the bezobalu.org shop. We got fed up with the amount of packaging material we have to throw away every day. This shop allows to buy food and take it home in brought-in containers. Small step, but if everyone did similar, the waste would be greatly reduced.

Our local grocery store, the Wonder Market, recently got a new façade. It totally changes the looks of the place. I think it looks much more snazzy now.

Probably the smallest mobile fast-food outlet that is so complete in itself! So what would like to have now?

Sarpsborg was an important town in Østfold ounty, centered around the timber and cellulose industries throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Until just 10 years ago the city centre was bustling. Then came latter days' consumerism and the shopping malls: Amfi, Torgbyen, Tunejordet - to mention a few. Nowadays, mainstreet is remininiscent of a museum, dotted with derelict bars interspersed by the many evangelic churches and mission houses. Sarpsborg is now the home of many young adults, skilled laborers and their young wives employed in the health services or at the mall. They ride in cars through the thoroughfare on their way to the next big sale on baby diapers.
