Courtesy of Miss-Lapin. It's moist and dense and really begs for a cup of something hot. The bunnies really are the perfect breakfast size.

This is the first time I've seen chai tow kueh in London! There's not very much white radish in the cakes (lots of rice flour instead) but they are fried nicely with lots of egg and preserved radish.

This is from Astoria Seafood on 33rd Street and 37th Avenue. It's really a fish store, but they prepare food as well.
This was a salmon kebab with tartare sauce on the upper left and what they called pico de gallo on the upper right. Pico de gallo is supposed to have tomato, too, but this was only hot pepper, onion, cilantro, and lemon juice. Maybe there was also some salt. The peppers were very hot. That was nice.
This is a great buy for $6.50! The salmon was fresh and juicy. The heat from the pico de gallo managed to wake me up more than coffee.
**edit** I took this photo last year, but just came across it again. I can walk to this place from where I work. It's worth it. They have some good food.

Made with home grown tomatoes (an heirloom variety). The soup contains yellow bell pepper (in addition to cucumber and onion), but you can't see it in the photo. Taken by Edgar.
