I tried focus stacking for the first time using auto align and auto blend in PS. How did I do? Not perfect I know but much better than a single macro shot at this angle.

Ok here's what happened. I simply asked Kim to hold the light while I was making to focus. And well... this happened ;)
I'm regretting my decision to focus on the closest berry--as opposed to the one farthest to the left. Still, I love the colors in this one, so it's going up!
The day we were at this beach just north of the airport the waves were big but shortlived. The riders had to really focus on catching waves and getting the most out of the short ride.
So thrilled to come in at 3rd place at the annual Focus Awards. The competition was marked very hard with no gold awards and only 9% given to Silver. Olga

Cormorant locked its eyes on a fish. The water is muddy due to previous day's rain. Due to muddy waters cormorant's presence goes unnoticed for the fishes, and this bird's job gets easier.

My plan was to capture the shroom but then this bug landed and the camera changed focus. I had it set on a 5sec delay so...
"Itumeleng", a female kalahari leopard remains focussed on an African Wild Cat that had managed to escape after a brief chase across the Auob riverbed. Shortly hereafter she pulled another Wild Cat from a tree and killed it. See here.

this last film had only 6 good photos, since the shutter of my Olympus OM1 broke (it had already problems when i bought it) - i used the film quite randomly just to confirm how bad it was broken. I am glad though, that the few photos that came out good were also the best shots on the film! so here you go.
has anyone a good analog camera to recommand to replace that one? i would love to get a new one. maybe a nikon? or minolta?
i really enjoyed the f1.4 lens of my olympus though...
