Like any lakeshore, we have hundreds, if not thousands of gulls that ply the wind and the waves for fish and scraps...

Adult snowy egrets are entirely white apart from the yellow lores between the long black bill and the eye, black legs, and bright yellow feet.
Occorre volare in questo tempo, dove?
Senz'ali, senz'aereo, volare indubbiamente:
ormai i passi passarono senza rimedio,
non elevarono i piedi del viandante.
Occorre volare a ogni istante come
le aquile, le mosche e i giorni,
occorre vincere gli occhi di Saturno
e stabilire lì nuove campane.
Ormai non bastan più scarpe né strade,
ormai non serve la terra agli erranti,
ormai attraversaron la notte le radici,
e tu apparisti in altra stella
determinatamente transitoria,
trasformata alla fine in un papavero.

A contender for last weeks high key theme. This seagull was photographed flying along the beach at Selsey, West Sussex. I like the abstract feel to this.
A single crow with wings fully spread and flying over the Lake Michigan beach.
I haven't been capturing too many birds of late, due to all the wonderful macro opportunities the flowers afford :)
"The one I love
The one I love
She told me to fly
She taught me how to fly
The one I love
The one I love
She told me to fly
She raised me up now I can fly"
