Masked Lapwing (Vanellus miles)
Seen over the local sports ground this morning while I was doing Daniel and Sarah's Phys Ed lesson
New York Susquehanna & Western Alco C420 #260 soars over Moodna Creek Viaduct at the last rays of light while leading a Sea-Land double stack container train. This was taken before the re-opening of the Sparta Mountain route via ex Lehigh & Hudson River trackage. These trains were the draw of rail fans from around the country.

Sports hall Spodek built in the shape of a flying saucer in the early seventies of the 20th century.
An artic tern passing over a berm to get to the breeding island at Cemlyn Bay, Wales.
Cemlyn Bay in northwest Wales is a special place for birding. We didn't give it enough time and it was pouring rain. Even so, watching hundreds of terns returning from the sea was a special treat.
Initially I was trying to capture them as they were flying low over the waves. I then realized that they had to fly over this berm and the head wind slowed them down considerably, making it much easier to track them. The grasses on the berm and behind it provided a nice setting for these low flying terns.
Cessna 182 yoke. My son took me flying today. I haven’t flown a plane since 1990’s. It was a beautiful day and I so enjoyed myself. He even bought me lunch. He’s taking lessons and I can’t wait.
Geese flying towards France. Their silhouettes against the blue grey sky and sea made this scene very special. Movement against a sense of calm and stillness.
We went to the cinema to see Eye in the sky and grabbed some food before the film . this space style table football caught my eye and I thought it would be just right for the We're Here theme
A classic Lenticular Cloud formation sweeps across the landscape near one of our fishing spots. Their shapes get the name from looking like a lens - when seen often look like an Alien flying Saucer!
Morning on the rise and It's that time of year for flying south for the winter....safe travels to you all.
Pushing on that trigger is like pulling magic into my very soul...Darrell.

A single crow with wings fully spread and flying over the Lake Michigan beach.
I haven't been capturing too many birds of late, due to all the wonderful macro opportunities the flowers afford :)
A short-billed gull (larus brachyrhynchus) flying towards me. At the time, I was standing by the source of Wolf River, in The Yukon, Canada.
I don't know if this is any good , I just like the wee flying insect flying towards the flower heads. I think they are Dandelions but a bush rather than the usual single ones on the lawn so maybe not dandelions...lol

Flying in your dreams is probably one of the most enjoyable dreams you can have in a long list of dreams. It symbolizes good things. Freedom, control, power, happiness. However, there are certain flying dreams that can mean the opposite. Just as most other dreams, pay attention to how you were feeling in the dream. Were you in control, did you continue to fall, were you flying upward, downward? All of these small details mean something in your dream.
See the dream World:

I know this is not my usual stuff, but I couldn't miss the chance to get up close to a true icon. This has to be the most famous steam engine in the world, the Flying Scotsman, passing a crossing at Norton in Worcestershire. It was accelerating and so was kicking out a lot of smoke and steam, it was making a racket and it smelt of a wonderful mix of coal and hot oil. Who could fail to be moved by this noisy, smelly, monster going clattering by!?! Fabulous!
