Yesterday/this morning was a marathon session. I am trying to learn the properties of a new thickener combined with acrylic paint. Each liquid behaves differently. I couldn't get long flowing umbrellas, so I just experimented. Three valves - red, blue and purple. Basin water started out as light orange, but by the time of this capture, it was polluted by lots of other less successful attempts, which is why it looks sort of more red, less orange. But it was a learning experience!! Liquids often behave differently than what we expect!
Water flowed from upper left to lower right. Seen on the Black Rock Desert of northern Nevada. The white coloring is a salt-like precipitate, not snow. Width of the scene is about four feet (1.2 m).
