I'm standing in the trough between two huge flood ripples on West Bar in Washington State. West Bar is eight miles (13km) west-southwest of Quincy. The height from trough-to-crest is about 35 feet (10.5m). The ripples were formed by ice age floods of huge proportion. Geotagging is approximate.
West Bar is described at the collection level.
Pooling area in a small intermittent drainage channel in the Sand Flats Recreation Area (Moab, Utah).
Water flowed from left to right.
Width of scene is about 3 feet (0.9m).
