Physics says that light behaves like waves (shorter waves are on the blue and purple end of the rainbow; longer ones are orange and red and infrared) and also like particles (photos that form the wave patterns). In this photo the light that bounces off the colorful leaves is first passing into the water and then bouncing back to the camera lens by passing from water to air. But apart from distortion to the lines and appearance of uneven magnification of the subject as the water acts like an imperfect lens itself, there seems to be little effect on the colors that are visible; they don't shift because of the interference of bumpy water surfaces.
