Stetson just had a bath and I am always amazed at how white and soft he is afterwards. Stetson is our first dog who loves to have his teeth brushed. His teeth are pretty white, too! I told him to smile and this was his attempt.
Pooka, a female Cavachon (Cavalier King Charles-Bichon mix) is visibly distressed that no one will play ball with her as all the attention is being directed toward a visiting grandchild.

A baby gannet shaking its fluffy plumage.
This weekend we decided to start looking forward after grieving so much for my dad and my kitty. We booked a trip to my favourite place - the north sea island Helgoland, for a visit to the beautiful northern gannets which breed at these times at the cliff ot the island. This is a bit like therapy for my heart, I just started to feel better

OK, here's my contribution to the recent stream of fuzzy fledgling Owl postings.
I first encountered nesting Great Horned Owls in this open space eight or ten years ago and it's been a constant producer of adult and fledglings. A few weeks ago I finally found the elusive nest. I tried to get images of the chicks in the nest, but only got a few low quality images in fading light. I returned the other day and found the nest empty. After searching for half an hour I heard a fledgling call out and was able to locate this one...again the light was failing but I was able to get a few shots before dark.
