I placed this beautiful and intriguing climatis bud on a glass table in the autumn sun. I just loved it how the shadows revealed those gorgeous curly hairs !!

One of the many shots I had wanted to post, but already had forgot about, this little lapwing chick is running around to grow as fast as possible, no fears at all (the parent is having this sorrow all the time).

A Meadowlark standing on a fence post 'fluffs' its wings.
This one was photograhed on a fence post used to separate a cattle ranch from a Storm Treament Area (STA).
One of my most precious moments of 2021. I almost fell out of my car when I saw this little godwit chick crossing the mighty waters of a ditch (and not taking the long way around on the greenfield.) So tiny and then swimming over rough waves without any fear(;)). Adorable it was!
I have numerous shots of Black Crested grebes with their young, and it is diificult to make a choice what to post.
This little chick was only one hour old, and they are part of a family that nests every year in my sisters pond. It is one of my favourite birds, and the way they take care of their young is very adorable. Riding on the back of one of the parents, in between the feathers is certainly a safe and a warm place to start you life with!
