I didn't see many people in the park, but it was a weekday afternoon.

To the E & N of the park is a very run-down council estate, that's gradually being replaced with new buildings. No way for me to tell if this is improving living conditions for the existing residents or pushing them out, but the rendition doesn't make me optimistic.

The Ferrier Estate, to the North and East of the park, is gradually being demolished and replaced with what will be much nicer looking buildings. I couldn't tell if this is going to displace the current residents or improve their living conditions.
