The Lovebird siblings recently born in our Family...The puppies of Blu & Luce!
Photographed in the garden with my reflex Canon EOS 250D that always gives me great satisfaction, especially for the true colours.
Shot few days ago, at the age of 40 days around when they just had completed the first moulting but could not fly yet.
We are carrying on the flying lessons and just yesterday they begun with some short timid flights...soon they will become acrobats and quit the baby food to focus on seeds and lots of fruits and vegetables...

A Nutcracker refers to both a mechanical tool for cracking nuts and the beloved Christmas ballet by Tchaikovsky, based on E.T.A. Hoffmann's tale where a girl, Clara, receives a nutcracker doll that comes to life to battle the Mouse King and journey to the Land of Sweets. These popular wooden dolls, often soldiers, are also decorative German Christmas traditions symbolizing good fortune, while the ballet features iconic music and enchanting Christmas magic.
Had to think of something quick this week so taken with my phone. My tablet decided it didn’t want to play no more so has gone away to be fixed (hopefully).
The Geminids are the most numerous meteor shower of the year, peaking on December 12. This season is often cold and cloudy, which can make it even impossible to see them. However, this year, the conditions were quite good the night before the peak. I took advantage of this opportunity and set off for the Jizera Mountains in the north of the Czech Republic.
The plan was to capture a simple image that would be easy to process. However, reality turned out to be different. I ended up creating a large panorama of twenty panels, each stacked from five images. But I have no regrets, as it allowed me to capture the winter night sky in unprecedented quality, likely thanks to the exceptionally dark sky caused by clouds in the lowlands.
You can see 27 Geminids in the final image, which I captured over the course of three hours. The sky is filled with many red nebulae, which are in fact invisible to the human eye - only a special camera can reveal them. Thanks to the long exposure, airglow is visible as well. The foreground, reminiscent of northern lakes in Sweden or Canada, features a frozen pond and a forest. I took this image from a small "beach," so the trees surround the whole panorama. It’s just a shame that the land is not covered in white snow.

it is difficult to place on a map! South of Kintore! or Walungurru, or Mt Tietkins, west of Papunya, all don't come up on the Flickr maps!

Milano Design Week
A stop-over in the city centre after the visit at the Salone del Mobile.
Few more happy moments to watch, photograph the Duomo at twilight and attend the amazing ritual of feeding the urban (cosmopolitan!) pigeons (see foreground of my photo). Here many jobless persons, in exchange of a little pocket money, will happily hand you some corn grains and teach the how-to in order to let many pigeons land and stand on your shoulders, arms and even on the head. An occasion of big joy for those, especially the children, who dream of touching and interacting with birds. There's no better simple show than this!

Thanks to every contact and visitor who kindly accompanied my new venture supporting my Album & edited Reportage, published throughout 5 months, which tells about one sole day, a wondrous one. A blessed day for me who was particularly in good shape and energetically empowered at the point to front the trip to Milano and enjoy a very plentiful, bountiful, intense, engaging visiting & shooting day. Lots of inspirations for my own Art too. I was never able to visit this Kermesse any before because its ruling dates were always coincident with my own exhibitions at the Belgioioso Castle of Pavia in both biannual editions but all the fashion designers visiting and buying from me, always reported to me their enthusiasm for the Salone and, finally, I've made it !
I received a lot in just one day, much more than I could ever expect or imagine. Thanks Heavens!!
