🎼 Like a poem said by a lady in red… 🎶 - @ladygaga

Mayhem Ball. Tonight. Miami. Can’t wait.

This part of Antelope Canyon X looks like a lady made out of stone with her hair, flowing behind her. One of the guides also called her the “mother of the canyon”. While she was easy to see last year in earlier morning light, this year, cloaked in the darkness of the afternoon, she was much more ethereal, evocative, and hard to see.

Traveling through a slot canyon is an exercise in light and texture. Most times, the light is muted and soft and ethereal, causing the whole environment to glow and be uniform. But other moments, where the walls either recede or extend in dramatic fashion, bend the light and throw perspective into sharp relief. That’s what you’re seeing here.

️- across Utah and Arizona, you are in the Navajo Nation. In Navajo, sacred land is referred to as Diné Bikéyah. This land belongs to the people. Hopitutskwa, Pueblos, and Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute) land is also found across these two states and at archeological sites and natural sites. It is an honor to see them.

On the southwest coast of India, Kerala is one of India's most beautiful states. With spectacular beaches and lush backwaters, temples, and palaces, it's known as “God's own country” for good reason.

The ancient Spanish mill of Orbetello

Around 1400 the Sienese built 9 mills in the Orbetello lagoon, at the foot of the Argentario.

At the time the mills were used thanks to the strength of the water current, which entered and left the lagoon with flows approximately every 6 hours, through the special passages between the lagoons.

There are 3 passages and they are artificial channels of salt water.

The channel of Buckle

The Nassa canal

The Ansedonia canal

Thanks to the constant flow of water, the internal grinders of the mills for the production of flour were made to turn.

The wheat was brought with the so-called: In Italian "barchini" (translated: "small boats") typical of the area.

From July 2022:

One last day in this joyful place. I love wilderness. I love solitude. I love how these two wonderful qualities are found in abundance in National Parks. That said, sometimes, and especially in our oldest and more historic National Parks, there is a spot that everyone goes to and partakes in what I call "traditional tourist activities". That usually means seeing the most iconic or typical overview of the park they're in. Old Faithful is a great example of this. Mather Point, too. Here in Sequoia? It's the Sherman Tree. Seeing people pour into the Sequoia grove and marvel at the largest tree on Earth is joyful. There's electricity in the air. Happiness is found in spades. And there's a sense of solemn and noble purpose too; people have made the pilgrimage to this park, now it is time to act upon the place as generations before us have, too. That's usually executed in everyone gathering for a picture with the tree. But what stands out to me is the reaction immediately following or preceding the picture: pure awe that you're in the presence of something so ancient, so massive, and so pure, and so universal. Nearly everyone who has journeyed to Sequoia has done this. That sense of joy and awe and purpose is palpable. National Parks are landscapes of nature, yes, but also of emotion. This particular landscape is a landmark of joy. I'm going to miss Sequoia National Park very much. I didn't expect how much I would love it, but here we are. Joyous.

Photographer photographed: Marcuzio

First photo included in my album illustrating Photographers and very first photo initiating the stream of my little Community

"Let's Shoot the Photographers", founded on Dec. 7 2020 that recently celebrated the first 2 years of happy & much active activity.

Marcuzio (real name, "Chocolat" art name) is the most smiling Italian Photographer I've ever come to know, always in a super good mood, respectful of the other own professionality. When he registered as visitor at our exclusive "Vintage Workshop® Trends Forecasts" exhibition at the Stars Palace in Milano, he gently handed us his professional bz card but, knowing it's forbidden to shoot in our events, he never dared to do & yet had fun in visiting & enjoying with enthusiasm the vernissage & the projection of our movie, involving the audience in good vibes & taking part actively. He gladly accepted to be portrayed & to pose with other visitors & friends inside the exhibition setting. In our new album we will share around 10 photos with him. Just brilliant.

“Carry on, my wayward son

Lay your weary head to rest

Happy 86th anniversary to Joshua Tree National Park, which was designated as a National Monument on this day by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on this day in 1936. Joshua Tree National Park really did a number on me. I’ve fallen in love with other parks upon my first visit before like Bryce, or Yellowstone, or Smoky, but Joshua Tree is so weird and surreal and captivating in a whole new way.

Joshua Tree feels like an alien world. It's not the same alien beauty of Yellowstone, which has its "traditional" wilderness beauty augmented by the bizarre sights of steam and colorful springs, where the ethereal motion of steam and water add a kinetic layer to the land. Joshua Tree isn’t the same as the alien beauty of Bryce, whose weird hoodoo shapes and forms become charming and enchanting as you make your way around or into the amphitheater. Instead, Joshua Tree’s essential strangeness comes in the downright stark and bleak beauty of sun-bleached rocks providing a backdrop to artfully the twisted and convoluted outlines of beautiful trees, each one with its own personality and a story to tell. Joshua Tree is a Dali painting come to life in stone and flora and fauna.

It's. Just. So. Different.

Triumphant skies this morning on the hills!

The show has leasted more than one hour, I took many pictures, it was freezing cold but, nevermind, that was truly worthy for my eyes & soul.

The Bhumibol Bridge in Bangkok, Thailand — a masterpiece of modern engineering — glows in radiant hues of gold, violet, and crimson against the night sky. Also known as the Industrial Ring Road Bridge, it spans the Chao Phraya River, linking the city’s pulse with its industrial heartlands. The illuminated cables and reflections on the water create a vivid symphony of light and structure — a symbol of Thailand’s harmony between progress and beauty.

Captured at night from the riverbank, this long-exposure shot highlights the bridge’s architectural grace, the rhythmic geometry of its suspension cables, and the energy of Bangkok’s skyline shimmering in the background.

Happy anniversary to one of my favorite places in the world. John Muir's "Range of Light", Yosemite, was set aside by the federal government, on this day in history, 133 years ago. This action predates the founding of the National Park Service and even Yellowstone's incorporation as the first National Park. Yosemite came before all of that, set aside under the care of California, for all to enjoy. For me, Yosemite is the place of quiet contemplation and spiritual grandeur that really threw my love of the National Parks into overdrive. It is the best example of what 'America's best idea' is and an inspiration to the world. Happy anniversary, friend. I’m so happy I got to revisit you this summer and I can’t wait to return, again and again.

“ This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on seas and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls. “- John Muir

The Bhumibol Bridge stands luminous under Bangkok’s twilight — a sculpture of symmetry and light suspended between motion and stillness. Captured during the indigo hour, when the last traces of day fade into electric calm, the bridge reveals its quiet strength and rhythm.
