The #FlickrFriday #90Degrees challenge
With thanks to FlickrFriday for the devastation this week's challenge has wrought on my waistline, here is a quarter slice of a Victoria Sponge Cake with fresh strawberries (got to keep it healthy) and cream, courtesy of my dear wife.
The photo was taken from above to accentuate the 90 degree theme (let's do 180 degrees next time, eh?) in overcast outside light. Some adjustments to highlights etc, colour boosting to the cake and strawberries and desaturation of the plate complete the image.
This Six-spot Burnet was drying its wings after an evening rain shower. The sunlight really highlights the green shimmer on its wings, which you often can't see. In fact they usually look black and red.
Some say life itself is a racing, do you agree? The theme for this week's #FlickrFriday is #Racing.
Share your best photo on the theme with our Flickr Friday group by the next Friday, and we will feature our favorites right here next week.

Disney's "Jungle Cruise" has the ingredients to be a Big Picture, or in Hollywood terms, a Blockbuster.
A Blockbuster movie is made with a large budget and big stars. A true Blockbuster is extremely popular and brings in a lot of money.*

The #FlickrFriday #FireTrucks challenge
A photo of a model fire truck in front of a real fire. It's illuminated by the fire, dim ambient room lighting and a briefly by a torch during a long exposure.
The lamps on the truck are photos of that torch, added as layers, resized and coloured with reduced opacity.
The bridge to nowhere at Bellhaven Bay, Dunbar.
The Biel Water is a stream that runs for almost 3 miles into Belhaven Bay in Dunbar Scotland. During low tide, locals and tourists can use the bridge to walk over the Biel Water and get to the Belhaven Bay beach.
But at high tide it gives the illusion of going nowhere !
