This handsome creature, white or grey goshawk I think, landed on a neighbour's television antenna this morning and surveyed.

All my usual morning bird visitors became scarce while this beauty moved eyes and head from side to side, just checking out options. Occasionally his eyes landed on me with my camera and I momentarily felt a little like potential prey.

Stunning bird.

The Somerset & Dorset Railway between Bath & Bournemouth closed in 1966 and most has vanished. A short section from Midsomer Norton South station has been restored as single track but ends just beyond this point where the cutting leading to Chilcompton Tunnel was filled in.
