Back when we first got Monty he and Maggie would run together everywhere. They were so much fun to watch.
This is me with my old style dolls pram in the back yard at Daffodil Road, Birkenhead.
A scan of an original photo.
Going through some old photos I came across this photo from June, 2003, of Nevada Falls (594' drop) in Yosemite National Park, California. I took this photo on the 12 mile hike from Glacier Point back to our campground. Taken with my old Nikon Coolpix 500, but edited with modern software, it didn't turn out too bad.
This picture is a flashback from a year ago today in Venice. The view is from the deck of a ship as we sailed into port from the Adriatic. It was a unique introduction to the city from above the rooftops. We spent the next days down in the canals, bridges and narrow walkways.
For me, it's a city to get lost in; it's not so big that you can ever be truly lost, just enough to create a sense of wonder at every turn. While the central square is fun, wandering away from the crowds is where I found myself walking. It's also a convenient way to work up an appetite for an evening meal alongside the grand canal.
From this height, you get a quick glimpse of the tops of buildings and apartments. Cityscapes like this are anthropological snapshots that provide clues about the inhabitants. With a hi-res photo, I find myself zooming in to discover new artifacts. Has it been a year already?
Returned from another Ilocos Sur trip with my parents, this time around, we had more time and more emotionally stable since the last time we went there for my grandmother's funeral.
While in Vigan, I wanted to emulate a film shot with a kalesa, thus this is the result

I love seeing these sights more than any other at airshows. I find nothing more emotional, more satisfying, or more awe-inspiring than seeing planes of days gone by, the greats, the foundations of today's military flying fleet fly as they did more than 60 years ago.
Spring '78, somewhere around Reno. I was heading up to Alaska in June to ride back to Reno. So while out there (Reno) and waiting to head north I was doing a lot of rides in the area. Can't remember where this was or the exact (or approximate) date. My friend Calvin sent this to me. Note the Kodak instamatic in hand. (And the hair on my head...)
Part of my playground was my uncle carpentry where I built small sail boats together with my brother and my cousins. Today the place looks old because is no longer used but I get those flashbacks the fee times I returned to the place maybe 30 years latter.
We'd been talking about this shot for almost a year and finally did it--Unfortunately, I FELL and sprained my ankle pretty bad so, I had to sit!
Usando una nueva técnica, que se llama "zoom explosion", averiguen y apliquen, da muy buenos resultados!!
Saludos

Me: Where are you two going?
Laney: For a walk.
Me: A walk back to the 80's? Hahahaha! I'm so funny.
Laney: Yeah, not really though. Don't forgot it's you that chooses my clothes so you're actually just making fun of yourself.
Me: Point taken. Enjoy your walk.
In September of 1988, we see a handful of Burlington Northern motive power at Eola Yard in Aurora, Illinois. In the foreground is BN 6850, which was originally built as Colorado and Southern 980. It was eventually painted into BNSF’s ‘Heritage 1’ scheme and eventually renumbered to 1977. In the background is KYLE 3114, which began its career with the New York Central, before being passed to Penn Central and then Conrail. After its tenure with KYLE, it served Amtrak, HLCX, Lake State Railway, and is in service with CaterParrot Railnet in Georgia. Photographer unknown, Greg Kozlick collection.
I walked from Canonbury to Stratford today via the Regents canal.
I'm glad this shop is still going, when I used to work down the road from here I used to buy a lot of second hand things from here.
Ps if you look carefully you can see me in this one in my new silly sunhat.
I just thought that it would be fun if I showed some Flashback pics from summer 2009 that my friend Brandon just got developed. Aw. Such a fun time touring to Illinois. :)
I honestly have no idea what face Im making in this photo.
'PIECE OF WHAT??' Found this on a 40' buffer flat with a crane. 2 buffer flats and the crane had friction bearing trucks. WC flat car 530 Ladysmith, WI 2015-02
I was searching through the archives for some pictures of Italy for friends. It always amazes me what I don’t get to post on Flickr.
Just the breakfast nook at the Savoy Hotel in Rome. No flash or any other kind of lighting. I didn’t even have a tripod.

buon week end!!! Gio
Your laugh for the day ... crazy what you come across when you decide to clean out the closet and rearrange stuff. ;p
