Two photos to show the difference between our flag and the Australian flag. The Australian flag is distinctive with the large white star underneath the Union Jack.
The Ohio Flag was designed by John Eiseman. It was officially adopted as the Ohio state flag in 1902 and is the only state flag which is not rectangular. It has a swallowtail bevel at its distal end.
It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday 04 Feb 2017 but bitter cold. Still I couldn't resist getting out in the sun for a while.

The flag of Lower Austria, the part of Austria we're living in. Surrounding Vienna, Lower Austria is the biggest of the 9 Austrian federal states - and its colors are blue and yellow.

To the left is the Australian national flag. To the right of centre is the Aboriginal nation flag, but as to whose is the centre one, I don't know. The flagstaffs where near a Buddhist temple so maybe it had some relationship to it. Does anyone know?
