Taken at 5am during the first snow shower of the year. Edited in photoshop and inverted to make everything except the flag black and white.
The flag is a tricolour (green, white and pink) and was created in 1843.
This country lost autonomy in 1917 and after a referendum now is Canadian.

Una curiosità e un mistero: i Micmac, o meglio i Mi'kmaq, (nativi americani presenti a Terranova) avevano una scrittura simile ai geroglifici egiziani !

A hero shot - one that I doubted about posting without significant masking (that lightpost - bugs me). But then, I thought: why fake it? It's what it is.
So here: a "hero shot" of flags.
Now, whose flags are they? Take a closer look? The one in the middle looks familiar...
The conductor of Providence and Worcester's Valley Falls based local PR-3 is on the ground flagging the busy Elmwood Ave. / U.S. Route 1 crossing as they head east out the Warwick Industrial Track with one load for Safety-Kleen. My hometown, Turners Falls, MA, posted a flag for each soldier that has died in the Iraqi war in the town square. This capture was taken last spring during a visit.
