Voila mon petit trésor devant mes yeux ......

It was somewhat comical and yet actually endearing to see these five Hoatzin lined up like this at a creek near the lowest part of the renowned Manu Road in Peru. The repetition serves to emphasize their unique appearance. The range of the Hoatzin encompasses the basins of the Amazon and Orinoco rivers and some tributaries in north-central South America.

Caught this group of doves in a wildlife refuge in central New Mexico, USA, in the late afternoon. Thank you for the visits and looks!
one windowsill neighbourhood – stick to the rules of engagement. Pleione orchid series. Two Pleione Tongariro ‘Jackdaw’ (Pln. Versailles x Pln. pleionoides) and three Pleione Vesuvius (Pln. bulbocodioides x Pln. x confuse). Both are recognised double hybrids; Pln. Vesuvius registered in 1978 and Pln. Tongaririo registered in 1981 amongst other officially recognised by the RHS. Pleione orchids are miniature orchids with large flowers that in the wild grow on foothills and in mountain areas of East and South East countries. Common names include Peacock orchids thank to large showy flowers or Windowsill orchids due to small plant sizes. Native names include Glory of the East, Himalayan crocus, Indian crocus.

♫ Sachal Studios Lahore, Pakistan - Take Five Official Video ♫
I'm not really a hot weather person. It's five more months until October when the sticky, hot, buggy, humid days will be gone. I am over the warmer weather already. I don't want to mow the lawn or garden or swat bugs or sweat anymore. I'd rather shovel snow and take long walks with the dogs. Come on winter.
These rosettes are a lot smaller than the ones normally placed on presents. Here cropped to fit Macro Mondays size.
There was another snow event here in Paris ON. I try to get up early and shovel a few of my neighbours walkways. I am usually pretty tired after all of that and i take water and a puffer with me. I don't go hard. I get some distanced conversation from Ed across the street.
All the Teddy's stay inside warm and dry.
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday

VIEW ON BLACK! :-)
I was there, and captured this event on Kodachrome film. 45 years later, it still seems like a dream. Five big Rio Grande SD45s pull a westbound merchandise train through Provo, Utah as the sun goes down on June 9, 1977. D&RGW rostered 26 of these 3600 horsepower pullers, delivered by EMD between Jan. 1967 and May 1968. Lead engine 5340 was the last unit of the series.
It's Friday. Forty five seems just about right. Half way there.
Have a great day and a fantastic weekend.

Because AUS is heading into winter we get more and more cool misty morning, I braved the cold and ventured to the lake. Five boats sat on the lake in the early morning mist.
