Still current, named "Helgafell". Delivered to Iberia as EC-610 and named "Cuba", re-registered EC-FYL in Nov 1994. Went to National Airlines as N508NA in Aug 1999, Fly Air as TC-FLD in may 2003 and leased to Sudan Airways the same month. Returned straight to the lessor as N262SR in Feb 2004 and then went out to Phuket Airlines as HS-KAK in the Apr and returned with N reg in Mar 2005. Acquired by Loftleidir Icelandic with this reg in Apr 2005, leased to Flyglobespan May - Oct 2007, then Yakutia Airlines as VP-BFG Feb 2008 until Mar 2014, when it returned to Icelandair.
Some more extra bits and pieces from Laura. The blue and red urara boxes are also the last two items missing from my collection of urara gear, so it's great to get those.
So after nearly getting RSI from all this tagging, my haul has come to an end - and it's about time, cause I want to go and use this stuff! Thanks Laurabento, you have been so generous, and I can't express how appreciative I am of all your effort.
Two stud fasteners are out of alignment. When the forward roof stay is in the intended position (under the stitched velcro strip) the roof is saggy. The tension is better when the stay is pushed rearwards but there it cannot be held by the velcro strip...
The side screens don't seem to be a good fit either...
The date was August 17, 1877. The setting: a tiny settlement of Bonita, just outside Fort Grant in Arizona Territory.
Young Henry Antrim had arrived in Arizona Territory some time before. Still a young teenager, he had New Mexico Territory some time before after escaping from jail in his hometown of Silver City. He had been behind bars on a simple theft charge, and even the local sherrif admitted later he only threw the young man in jail to scare him. Regardless, Henry quickly discovered it wasn't the place for him, and once able to escape he fled west towards Arizona Territory.
Once in Arizona, Henry Antrim found work on various ranches in the area around Bonita. Still a slim, scrawny teen, he never quite fit in with other ranchands who must have felt he was too weak for the job. Henry quickly abandoned the ranch life but stayed in the Bonita area, where he, along with an accomplice, were once again tempted by the thrill of theft. The two start to gain notoriety for stealing saddles and horses from Fort Grant soldiers, which of course, in those days was a big deal. As well, Henry starts frequenting a "George Atkin's Cantina," a saloon in Bonita. While "Kid Antrim", as he was nicknamed by now, never smoked or drank but he couldn't resist taking his chances at the poker table.
The "Cantina" in Bonita had another frequent customer, a blacksmith at Fort Grant by the name of Frank "Windy" Cahill. Cahill was known to be somewhat of a loud-mouthed bully. In particular, he loved to pick on young Antrim when the two were at the poker table together. He aggressively tusstled Antrim's hair. He called him every name in the book. Henry Antrim, being the scrawny teen he was, really has no choice but to sit there and take it. However, on the night of August 17, 1877, that changes.
On this particular night, Cahill was really giving it to Antrim. Pushed to his breaking point, Antrim finds it in him to fight back. He starts throwing insults at Cahill. The two really get into it. Eventually Antrim reportedly calls Cahill a "son of a bitch". It's enough to make Cahill fly into a fit of rage. He dives across the table and crashed into Antrim. The fight tumbles outside, in front of the saloon. Cahill manages to pin down Antrim and is laying a full beating on the poor young man. Antrim must act quick, for Cahill's powerful blows mean the possibility of being beat to death is a real threat at the present moment. He manages to wrestle an arm free. He reaches for a revolver tucked hidden away at his waist. Struggling, he pulls it out. Bang.
"Windy" Cahill manages to linger on throughout the night but succumbs to his wound the next day. The cause of death is clear: point blank gunshot wound to the stomach. Before he dies, Cahill makes it clear. Young Henry Antrim was his killer. That night, Antrim had jumped onto a horse (not his of course) and galloped away from Bonita. In fact, fearing consequences for his actions, he fled all the way back into New Mexico Territory. Ironically, some historians today say Antrim's killing of Frank Cahill might not have been just cause to flee like he did. The courts would have agreed the killing was in self defense, they say. Or the law wouldn't have bothered to waste resources tracking down a small-time criminal like Antrim when there were more serious outlaws on the run. Regardless, Antrim is scared. He doesn't want to take any chances with law enforcement.
Once back in New Mexico Territory, Henry Antrim goes on to become more infamous than he ever would have in Bonita. Henry Antrim changes his name to William H. Bonney. He soon finds himself caught in the middle of the perhaps the most famous old west conflict, the Lincoln County War. In laymens terms, the town of Lincoln and surrounding county are plunged into the 1800s frontier version of a gang war. Antrim sides with the Tunstall-MacSween faction. He participates in battles against the Murphy-Dolan faction. During the war he is accused of slaying the corrupt county sherrif. The height of his fame comes after a daring and bloody escape from the Lincoln County jail in 1881. After the war he leads a rag-tag outlaw band on escapades through the New Mexico countryside, eventually meeting his fate outside Fort Sumner courtesy of sheriff Pat Garret.
Yes, as you might have guessed by now, young Henry Antrim went on to become Billy the Kid, perhaps the old west's most infamous outlaw. By the end of his life, Billy the Kid was accused of some ten unfortunate souls. But Frank "Windy" Cahill, on that August night in Bonita almost 140 years ago, was the first unfortunate soul. Today, George Atkins Cantina still stands, now abandoned and bearing the name "Bonita Store". A friend and I were lucky enough to have the chance to visit this past January. Unfortunately a perimeter fence now spans the property and because of that, and the high sun at the time of day, this was the best shot I was able to get. But, I was very excited to be able to photograph this regardless. I can't believe this building is still standing almost 140 years later, and for lack of a better term it was mind-blowing to think we were standing in front of one of young Billy the Kid's favorite joints, the location where with one pull of the trigger a legend of the old west was born.
Step 3 is to use the fit bike, in which every part's size/angle is adjustable, to find the ideal setup, and then take measurements off it.
