Annapurna South Hiumchuli Machhapuchhre Fish Tail seen from Poon Hill

This picture was taken at Being Salon in Shelby Township, MI. This is where I work as a hair stylist. I was practicing my fishtail braids on a mannequin and wanted to capture the color of the hair against the colors and textures of the salon, especially the floor. The contrast between the two is what makes the photograph for me. The crossing lines, that are similar to cross contour lines, of the actual braid, describe the volume of hair in the braid although the picture is not three dimensional. The colors are mostly cool which is why the red bench and the strawberry blonde color of the hair stick out and are brought to the surface of the picture.
