Tourists ahoy!

A large party of foreign students boarded HMS Victory behind us and eventually overtook us, though not without briefly getting in our way first! It was interesting how cramped the hold became once there were 30+ people in there. Other than that, the ship was roomier than expected, though I had to duck down a lot of the time because of the low ceiling.

They're doing some work on the ship right now. If this would have been my first time seeing the ship, I would have been disappointed, but instead I was fascinated by this glimpse into how she's built.

Just look at all those ropes!

I think these buckets were filled with water and placed along the decks to enable fires to be put out quickly.

Prior to action, the decks would be given a light coating of sand to improve grip (water and/or blood would make the decks highly dangerous otherwise)
