Chicken salad for me, I can't see what wife is having and I'm too lazy to go get the menu I saved.
We got ultra lucky. Plane was overbooked. Instead of getting kicked off we got upgraded!
Hope that was the last of our unused luck from 2008 and didn't start using up any of our luck for 2009.

Total United mileage redemption was only 90,000 miles!

This camera is really awesome. So awesome, you should buy one right now from Amazon ($172 as of December '11).
The Gray Ghost, I never see these perched on anything but a dirt clod or in a field, this was really unusual, guess they missed me out taking photo's of them. In two hours I saw several harriers, 3 red-shouldered hawks, 20 red-tailed hawks, 1 coopers hawk, 3 white tailed kites, and several american kestrels, now that the rice has been harvested they can see in the fields to find prey so there is lots of action.
we cashed in years of united miles to make our first plane trip with fiona easier, in first class.
What really cracked me up were the in-armrest phones, probably a holdover from the late 80s when people really, really had to call someone important in the air.
