Mountaineering Oriented First Aid is a course offered by The Mountaineers. It is designed to teach the first aid skills necessary for the back country. In the course we create simulated accidents for the students to practice on and so they can get a sense of what it might be like if they were called to treat someone for real.
We are going global. All seven resuscitation councils of ILCOR – including America, Canada, South Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe will be supporting the initiative to increase awareness of bystander CPR and AED intervention. With this campaign, everyone is expected to learn CPR and facilitate Basic Life Support (BLS) courses in schools, organisations, and communities.
