Be gratefull with any kind of weather

Enjoy life and the snow

Be careful when driving

Mostly because I didn't wait until December to buy snow boots--for once. I hope this doesn't interrupt our ice-skating plans. I live in hope.

Also: Cannot cook today because an entire apartment's worth of dishes from yesterday haven't gotten around to cleaning themselves, but I think we're going to wait it out, anyway. They'll come around, won't they?

Also, Part 2: Which reminds me--We're going dishwasher-shopping! Hooray!

Western Washington had its first snow of the season today. Not a whole lot, but it melts and freezes overnight to make for treacherous driving conditions. However, while it is falling, everything looks so different and beautiful. I couldn't wait for my lunch to get out and take a few shots. At a nearby pond, I had 3 very cooperative song sparrows for subjects. This little one was Number 3.

When I took this picture, I wanted to see how the camera would capture the snow, but there was a hidden surprise that I didn't even know was there until I uploaded the pictures this morning to my computer! Do you see what I see????

an inch or so and not too cold.

First snow of the season, a day before Thanksgiving. Taken out back, next to the old shed.

This is a shot of the clock tower that's in the middle of the pedestrian walkway in Depot Town. I love the slight blur on this at the bottom.

Flowers and snow don't mix

We couldn't find one we liked for sale, so we made our own.
