As you walk into the Detroit Institute of Arts you are greeted by the Grand Court, with William Randolph Heart's collection of Suits Of Armor on display. Taking 4 years to complete, the museum opened at this location ( it was previously on Jefferson ) in 1927 and has over 100 galleries to experience. I caught a rare, uncrowded moment ( you can see all the people at the end waiting to get in ) in this very popular Detroit attraction. It is listed on the register of National Historic Places and contains works by Warhol, Rembrandt, Picasso, Monet, Degas, etc. - way too many more to mention here. a project that I did last October at uni. I took a picture from my bedroom window of the view at different times of the day, whatever the weather, come rain or shine, every day for two weeks. :) These are ten of my final images. In the system of our denomination, bishops appoint pastors to churches. There is a brief interview to introduce a new clergy member to a committee, but congregations and pastors do not select each other. So, the process of getting to know each other comes through working together.
Yesterday was officially my first day at a new church. I had not yet had a tour of the building, so I took a walk around with my camera. Here are ten images showing a few things I observed.

One of the first things I notice about a sanctuary is what they have chosen to focus on during worship. This stained glass window, above the altar, depicts Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, in prayer before his arrest.
The entrance to a home is usually the first glimpse of the atmosphere inside. It's after all, about caring for that first impression, that we always remember so much in our experiences, and of course, when we enter a home. A door that gives an impression of warmth, that one that goes deep inside, to the soul, is usually a reflection of good hospitality.

Se trata al fin y al cabo de cuidar esa primera impresión, de la que tanto nos acordamos en nuestras experiencias, y por supuesto, de cuando entramos en un hogar. There's something really wonderful about seeing things through the eyes of a child! This little one was probably experiencing the beach for the first time.
While many got their Silberra Film a while back I've been waiting for some time so when I got the notice it had shipped I waited. Surprisingly it only took a couple weeks to arrive. And here's the first roll, their Pan100 stock. I'm rather impressed with the tonality, fine grain, and sharpness!
