The movie Rambo: First Blood was shot in Hope, British Columbia.

16 April 2013.

...but I have a Christmas ornament.

Hope is where they filmed the first (and only good) Rambo movie, First Blood. Rambo blows up their Dairy Queen.

Now, I can understand that maybe Hope is happy to try and scare up a little cash from the tourists by getting them to stop here and shit, but isn't this a little like Plainfield, Wisconsin, putting up a painted board for Psycho or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre?

Thanks to Kalin for taking the picture.

Cut by chainsaw, the statue of John Rambo commemorates the filming of “First Blood” in Hope

This is the Maple Ridge film location for First Blood where Colonel Trautman made his quote. I used an art filter from my E-620. I am not a huge fan of them and this will probably be the only time i post a picture with its use.

First Blood: Part 1.

Insert Rambo hiding behind wall. "Fields" is at 770 Fraser Avenue.

First blood, part one. Béo vs. the door hinge. Proudly wearing the mark of receiving an upper cut blow to the eyebrow. The purple marking is gentian violet, not blood.

(Now about ten and a half months, with lots of personality :-)
