Day 239: Found a new favorite store at the mall today. Albums, LaserDiscs and toys, oh my!

While there were some excellent LD's there, there were more VideoDiscs, or CED's. Unlike LaserDiscs, which used optial means to read the data, these were more like LP's or vinyl albums in that a stylus physically read the information from the disc. Arriving on the market too late and competeing with LD's in a niche market virtually doomed it from the start, as well as the inability to record to them.
