First blood, part one. Béo vs. the door hinge. Proudly wearing the mark of receiving an upper cut blow to the eyebrow.The purple marking is gentian violet, not blood.

First kill of the war, not bad for an aircraft that was designed as a dive bomber.
Interestingly, it had a variant that was designed to be the FAA equivalent of the Boulton-Paul Defiant. These hapless machines ended up having more success as stationary gun emplacements!
