Fortunately, this was the day after we flew back from the east coast, so our flight wasn't delayed. It was a little early for sticking snow here, and was only a couple of inches. Still, it made the yard look wintery. Of course being the coastal northwest, it melted into rain the next day.

Thank you for your comments & fav.!

The first snow storm of the winter hit us harder than forecasted, so I took the camera along to church in hopes of catching the regular westbound after mass.

I started heading east expecting to intercept BICB but instead caught up to CBBI holding at 55th Street Moline for permission into Silvis yard. I got a few shots of CBBI into Silvis then headed home as BICB was going to be a while yet before departing.

The snow encrusted 506 and 509 bring CBBI-03 through the switches at 7th Street East Moline.

The first snow fell early, on some trees the leaves are still quite green, after three days the snow melts, and the next one will probably fall after Christmas.

The nest was about 4-5 m (15 ft) to camera left, and this little goldfinch had just taken it's maiden flight. Mama took awhile to bring it some food, so it sat there and nodded off. Centre Wellington, Ontario. August17, 2022.

The lovely Evie took Dren and me to this amazing Winter place where we did enjoy the first snow this year, thank you for that Evie! With Christmas upcoming, and the decorations for it done in each world, this is just what i needed.
