The burning of the dried grassland can sometime take rather epic proportions. In the days of the Old West, fatalities were common when fires swept over the open plains. This fire is being controlled by men on 4 wheeled drive vehicles visible in the right corner. My busy time is almost over - come on April!
This photo was taken in early summer 2014 in the forest of Germering/Harthaus.
Equipment: Tripod, Olympus Pen E-P5, 60mm M.Zuiko Macro Lens, no additional light.

هذه لحشرة تدعى حشرة النار واسمها العلمي

حشرة النار (بالإنجليزية: Firebug) (و الاسم العلمي (بالإنجليزية: Pyrrhocoris apterus)) هي حشرة من فصيلة (بالإنجليزية: Pyrrhocoridae). تتزاوج في أبريل ومايو، ويتألف غذاؤها في المقام الأول من بذور الأشجار الخبازية و بذور الزيزفون.

Finally was able to finish them all today. Left to Right we have Green and Yellow Ted Carson Firefly, and Regular Ted Carson Firefly. Then Garfield Lynns Firefly. Bridget Pike as Lady Firefly, Harlan Combs as the second Firebug, and finally Rigger as the first.

Garfield Lynns
Pretty much the 2019 one, just with sinestro legs.
Background: Garfield Lynns worked at Gothcorp for years, alongside Victor Fries. He never liked Fries, or the cryogenics lab he was placed in. He always preferred the heat to cold. Years later, development began on the 'Firefly' suit. It is meant to withstand heat, and has flight capabilities, perfect for rescuing people from fires.. Lynns begged to be transferred to the project, seeing this as his chance. Begrudgingly they let the transfer go through. For months, they would work on the suit, with lots of trials and errors. One trial resulted in a fire, that destroyed most of the Gothcorp development building. Most of Garfield's skin was burned during this accident. Though, he was blamed for this blunder, and as a result, was fired. Without a job, Garfield turned to crime to make ends meet. But he couldn't do it as Garfield Lynns. So he worked day in and out, to perfect the Firefly suit. He swears to get revenge on Gothcorp for screwing him over, and other technology empires that are "only about themselves".
