A lovely sunny day out with my group, with a iced over pond... well those that could make it...ending with having to leave the coffee shop...a fire alarm... all the drama. the girls took their drinks with them...I had to much 'stuff to grab' so in sunshine and cold, but hey! it was an experience.
The Matchbox generic casting which spawned a thousand Chinese copies! Yet another recycled recolour now appearing in the latest MBX Fire Rescue five vehicle set. Mint and boxed.
Completely generic or based on a real vehicle? Although the styling is believably chunky and possibly U.S. based I don't have a clue what real vehicle its based on if at all! For a Suntoys model it is slightly up the pecking order from their really cheapo basic castings with a slightly crisper looking body style and higher levels of detailing especially to the fire apparatus rear end. Part of a five vehicle set suddenly appearing in Wilkinsons stores. Mint and boxed.

The driver of a fire engine ran off the side of Interstate 80 along the Yolo Causeway in California when his rig suffered a tire blowout.
The accident occurred about 8:30 a.m., 11/18/2013. California Highway Patrol officer said that a tire apparently failed, sending the vehicle about 200 feet off the roadway where the causeway is not elevated by a bridge.
The fire engine was from the California Medical Facility in Vacaville and was not on a call, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The rig went off the freeway, down an embankment and ended up in a drainage canal. The driver suffered a minor injury.
