April 9, 2018 - Finalization at the OKC Courthouse

As some may know my Father passed away in December of 2010. I am the Executor of the Estate. My Brother and I finalized everything a couple of days ago as far as the legal system is concerned. Went downtown and filed the paperwork. Should be no problems so I should get the paperwork back signed by the Judge in a week or so. Glad I'm done, though I didn't have any type of major problems. It really went smoothly.

Finalized version with yellow wheels, black trucks and translucide grip !

Managed to finalize my pattern, but ended up making it just a hair too big, so the second pair of pants (the dark brown) in this picture have little pin tucks on the front (which I actually kind of like). So there will be two options when I put these pants into the shop - Rolled legs or flare legs option.

As I mentioned before, pockets would technically be possible, but then it'd be bulky and I think it would hinder the ability to sit. ^^ So I won't be adding them.

And, also, the pink striped shirt is fully hemmed, but I dunno.. I think I like it better when the sleeves are left alone (like the creamy colored shirt). But maybe it'd look better if I made it a little bit longer before hemming it. Anyway, I'll play around with that some more before I add it.

Tonight when I get home from work I'll post them to the shop. ^o^~

I hope you all like them X3 The girls are really excited to have some clothes (I've had them for a long time but didn't really ever make them anything to wear! Oops! )

Santa Monica Pier

November 15th, 2012

Santa Monica, CA

Finalized in December of 2012, the City of Santa Monica funded the LEDs project with a $668,000 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) award from the US Department of Energy. For the project, LEDtronics provided:

-LED Light Bulbs, S14 Style for the Looff Hippodrome.

-LED Post Top Lights in a pendant style with mogul-base fixtures for the outdoor, rest area.

-LED Post Top Pendant Lights for the Santa Monica Pier Boardwalk.

-LED A19-Style Bulbs were used in the hard-to-reach, beacon light fixtures around the Pier's perimeter.

"The old, fluorescent lights on the Pier burned out, left gaps in the lighting and were in a difficult area to maintain," states Matt Henigan, City of Santa Monica, Office of Sustainability and the Environment, Energy Efficiency Engineer. "With the new LED lamps in place, maintenance is minimal, and we have already reduced energy consumption by over 30%. And because the LED lighting is directional, it improves safety and enhances the Pier's appearance without causing light pollution for local residents."

I arrived in Christchurch and was busy finalizing my plans to work at a backpackers so that I could stay for free while I also found a job that paid me actual money. I took one picture before the earthquake, even though I was here for a week (Possibly near Cambridge Terrace and Cashel Street; I'm not really sure. It's not called the Garden City for nothing.).

I did spend my time wandering around downtown, going to the library, going into shops, and just poking around. I didn't go into the Cathedral, but I did manage a few hours in the Art Gallery and watch a busker's show at the Art Centre. I'm really glad I did, because those parts of the city are either destroyed or closed indefinitely now. The earthquake happened Tuesday, February 22nd at lunchtime. I had just gotten back from an interview and I was making myself lunch before going to the library. It was a pretty big shake right from the get go, and I ran to sit in the doorway of the kitchen. Lots of things fell out of the cupboards and one of the refrigerators. Some pictures fell down from the walls. We would later learn the quake was a 6.3 and lasted for 20 seconds, technically smaller and shorter than in September (7.1 and 40 seconds). However, since this quake was closer to the city, and much more shallow (only 5k below the surface), it ended up doing much more damage, and there was loss of life.

At first, of course, we didn't know how bad it was, since our house was perfectly fine. We had lost power and water, and didn't have a battery powered radio until the following day. We were a pretty subdued group, playing cards by candlelight and going to bed late. The aftershocks were honestly the worst part, as it shook every 30 minutes or less that whole night. I kept waking up thinking that it was shaking, only to realize I had been dreaming.

The city quickly responded, and the hostel was within the security cordon set up to keep non-residents out of dangerous areas. We still didn't have power or water (or sewage), so I made plans to leave that Thursday, as the hostel would have to be closed until non-residents could get in the cordon, and I didn't think there was much chance of me finding a job after the earthquake. I contacted a friend who was living in Oamaru, 3 hours south, and made plans to stay with her for a little while until I got my bearings.

I didn't see the images of the earthquake on the news until that night. The people of Christchurch were the last to see those powerful videos of the earthquake because of the loss of services over most of the city. There's not really much else to say, given the state of affairs in the rest of the world.

So, when I was finalizing my topic for this project, I wasn't 100% convinced I should choose diabetes - my classmates had chosen lighter topics like ballet, the moon and dogs. But then I came across The Monster Health Book. It has such a cute premise - kids teach a monster about how to live a healthy life. But this little blurb is all that it says about diabetes. What a bummer! That last sentence is NOT the message I want to spread about diabetes. For me, this settled it - I chose diabetes as my topic so that I, as a future teacher with diabetes, could find books (and, as part of the assignment, write one) that I would want to bring into my classroom as a way to explain diabetes to my kids.

Finalized processing the images from my trip to BC.

Workers finalizing details just prior to the press conference. Governor Josh Shapiro and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Secretary Mike Carroll officially reopened six lanes of traffic on I-95 after the deadly fire and collapse of the roadway just 12 days ago. Since the initial collapse, Governor Shapiro and Secretary Carroll have led a coordinated state, local, and federal response to reopen the roadway safely and as quickly as possible, and efforts were ahead of schedule each step of the way to get traffic flowing on I-95 again. The new roadway will open to the public at 12:00pm ET on Friday. JUNE 23, 2023 - PHILADELPHIA, PA

DAY 8

Finalizing the plating of leg- just adding more detail and plates to the legs- trying to make it as smooth as possible.

My only concerns now is the knee carps.

I need to design that.

Also, on side note:

Few things i'm not satisfied with was the knee join looks- the transition from knee to the thighs looks awkward... To me it doesn't look right.

I will have to consider new design or changing up a few things again to make it look better.

There's still something miss, I might have to get more things and today i got over 3000 parts from BL.

Right now i am currently at approx. 3000 parts per leg.

already went through over 350 pins.
