Wetherspoons Grt.Charlote St.
Probably the worst Wetherspoons I have ever frequented...crap service, filthy toilets,filthy tables.....
This young Cattle Egret was running around the gardens grounds looking scruffy and filthy. It has obviously been displaced from it's nest. It was trying to evade me by walking rapidly away but every time it looked over it's shoulder I was still there snapping. I didn't harass it too much. :)
I didn't see it being fed so I don't know if it was surviving on it's wits in the gardens or still being fed by it's parents on the ground. There were not as many nests last xmas perhaps due to the floods but there were still quite a lot and they are messy feeders so you will often see little fish on the ground under the trees.
There had been so much rain and the gardens were partially flooded so the grass was quite long and the ground sodden.
These rack has not been touched in quite some time, I have decided to bring them back to their full glory.
Geez! You miss a bit of work and it all goes to hell in a hand basket. I got in and was told by the guys that one of the augers was down. After inspecting it I discover that they somehow managed to get a rag jammed in the damn thing. On the other hand, I got a laugh when I could use one when I saw their reactions so that was OK.
Lovely clean day huh?
