I interpreted a movie, “Fight Club” by applying Freud’s theory after watching it. There are three characters with different characteristics, and each of them are called ego, id, and superego according to Freud. All three characters are presented dramatically to illustrate diverse sides of a person’s inner self and help interpreting the theory. The movie ends by showing the collapse of New York Wall Street. I saw this as a representation of people breaking down their own big artificial system, going back to primitive and natural world, and gathering all three of them who were separated apart by factitious force into one identity at the end. I showed that all three were not different, but were one existence after all by drawing three characters on one face. I used contrasting colors in the background with an image of New York, which is a good example of synthetic and systemic place, to represent its opposite side.
These two mockingbirds had been chasing each other all morning around the trees in the yard. They finally made contact and a serious fight ensued. It lasted several minutes. Here are 8 of the 62 pictures I took. At home by Dee
