Joanne Callander's "Fidget"

I got three Only Hearts Club outfits today and they are a perfect fit for Fidget. I did not want to force on the plastic shoes, however, because I'm afraid of chipping her tiny toes. But I do have more flexible shoes that she can wear.

looked ok, but failed during "loosening" pla is so sticky compared to ABS for this purpose

Sterling gimballed locket, side 1, rope and scroll trimmed bracket, locket engraved full surface. Worn on waist length chain. At least I don't lose it as I do the toys.

I'm kinda happy at the way this turned out. I know how this feels.

Tonight I had the pleasure of going to see Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Troupe perform The Snow Queen in The Black Box.

If any of you are in the Galway area this weekend, please go see it. You will be spellbound for the whole show. It was brilliant. So funny. I loved Lee's portrayal of The Raven. I was in stitches. Excellent. Go, watch, enjoy, tell your friends. I think I might go again myself before they're finished. :o)

Trident.310 - Fidget Spinner in flight (side view)

Series of six. I had the opportunity to watch a falconer exercising his Peregrine on the Downs. Normally all I see of a Peregrine is a quick flash and its gone, so it was a good opportunity to get some close-ups. One day I may get the same of a wild bird. Would be nice!

It's the only way to describe the little song and dance that you have to make while using a Nikon D5100 with the LCD facing forward. The problem is all of the controls are still in the back! Do you keep looking back at the panel and having to recompose and refocus? Or do you try to memorize the buttons by feel?

Maybe this swing out LCD solution should include a touch screen, so it is actually easy to use the damn thing while holding it.

Pie's last Fidget gig

This chair was designed and made by Alex Jess. Alex is very interested in not only furniture but also with the way people interact with the everyday objects around them. One of the concepts that really interested this young designer was the way people ‘fidget’.

This chair embodies these motions. Through the use of bungee cord, rocking arches and a static base, the occupant of ‘Fidget’ is able to move freely and smoothly in multiple directions, whilst always being comfortable, secure and supported.

Production photos by Debbie Robbins from Fidget Feet's marvellous new show The Elves and the Shoemaker which comes to An Grianán in December 2013

Meet Herman and Daisy,

They want to make shoes for your feet.

But they owe so much money they barely can eat.

Don’t worry though, because magic is always just around the corner. The Elves are here to help! And sometimes the answers are right above your head.

Fidget Feet’s The Elves & The Shoemaker is immersive storytelling with music and aerial circus for children aged between 4-8yrs and their families.

There is no stage, you will join them inside their workshop and actually help them to make the best pair of shoes ever made. This show is supported by The Arts Council, The Backstage Theatre, Longford and The Source Arts Centre, Thurles.

Herman, Daisy and the Elves need you!

4pm performance only: You can fly too!

After the main performance the children of the audience will have the opportunity to fly. There will be a short, thirty minute, aerial workshop supervised by the Fidget Feet cast and crew where children will learn some basic moves and lifts on Aerial Cocoons. This is an extremely fun, easy and safe introduction to Aerial for young children.

This little guy can't sit still, thus his name. There's so much to do--it's hard to fit it all into only nine lives! He has many hobbies, including dust bunny collecting, tumbling, drawing, sailing, and especially, chinese checkers. (He's not very good, so you might want to let him win a game or two to boost his confidence.)
