The latest playground craze. Luckily my son works in a shop that sells them so he can buy them before they go on the shelves!
Fidget has almost no language. She knows only her name and hand signals for "food" and "stay". She's so kind and well-behaved that she doesn't need to know anything more.
She knows how to bring peace to people and other animals. Even feral cats don't fear her.

My grand daughter's fidget spinner in motion taken with my iPhone 6 (1/17 sec ISO 320). To the eye the golden curves do not appear to be broken.

There's not really a story here, my daughter wasn't very cooperative with this one, hence the presence of the fidget spinner in our home. There is definitely movement though!
Fidget's philosophy:
"Love and lunch are the true dimensions of all things. And a nap is nice almost anytime."
Seem to be a craze like yo-yo's, dingbats and Rubik's cube were in my youth. Still it's better than ipads and iphones.

I ended up calling these Fidget Necklaces, the more I made the more I played with them. It was a great way to use up the beads I made that are larger and don't match anything. I used recycled 14 gauge wire on the upright part of these and 18 gauge on the section that goes through the beads. I also used a soldered twisted jump ring for the connection to the 24" ball chain.

after much fidgeting, it seems to work, at least in 2-d. haven't tested the z-axis that much yet. Jesse had to write his own g-code generating for EMC2.

There comes that defining moment for a photographer when you either take the picture through your somewhat grungy windshield, and at least hope you might get a good shot, or you don't take it, and you lose it altogether. I took the shot.
I have done this myself. It is sort of a mindless fidgeting at a stoplight type of behavior. What do guys do? Maybe while away the time looking at women doing this.

Shot with a Nikon D300s and a Sigma 105mm f2.8 lens. Lighting from 1 Lume Cube at 46% using light painting. Several shots combined in photoshop. Time taken to do project 15 mins.

last summer i was fidgeting around "aricha ghat" in search of some photos... mainly i was trying to catch some moments... i got some different types of moments from that place... i thing this is an interesting one to share with you... especially this would be a good time for this shot while Muslim community all around the world is preparing "Eid ul Adha"...
(This is a moment of unloading cows from the engine boat, heading towards the slaughter's house, or the cattle market )
