My model of a Heinkel He100D-1 of a fictitious jagdgruppe supposedly based in France in the Summer of 1940 and misleadingly described as the He113 for propaganda purposes. This was successful as several RAF pilots reported seeing them and even being in combat with them during the Battle of Britain. In fact, the He-100D had been deemed unsuitable for service because of its ingenious but highly vulnerable (to combat damage) and unreliable surface evaporation system in the wings to cool the engine. This system enabled a streamlined fuselage and a high top speed – it was faster than the Bf109E.
However, even though the He100D had entered production, albeit limited (9 D-1’s were built), the aircraft were only used for local defence as part of Heinkel’s Marienhe Factory Defence Force flown by Heinkel’s test pilots, although there is no record of them ever seeing combat. The aircraft is in RLM65/70/71 camouflage: undersurfaces RLM65 Light Blue, uppersurfaces RLM70 Black Green and RLM71 Dark Green.
The Assignment:
Create a logo for a fictitious retro-futuristic ice cream store “Chemistry and Creamery” then use line variety to enhance the logo.
The Project:
For this project I went all-out on the line variety and tried to keep the scientific and ice cream imagery perfectly balanced. The cone is also a graduated cylinder, and the ice cream scoop triples as a sun with planets OR a 1950’s representation of the atom.

These are comedic / fictitious representations of currence. They are obviously not intended as any kind of legal tender. Just joke material from the past.
A fictitious castle located on a cliffsite with a mysterious past.
You can find more information about the model in the description of shot 1, which you will find in the "Zarisse Castle" Album.
Here is the lore behind this structure:
Today, Zarisse Castle is one of the biggest collection of historic documents, nonfiction and novels, with an ever-expanding library, a save haven for the unloved and broken. In its darkest hours, it was a place of torture, suffering, pain, cannibalism and death.
The first mention of what we know as Zarisse Castle today was a small watchtower called Talayot Tower. It is presumed that this tower was supposed to watch both the naval and the
land route between the cities of Naieen and Sernova, or their predecessor respectively. It got abandoned in a war between these cities.
The empty Talayot Tower raised interest in some aristocrats. The one who ended up buying it from Sernova was Frederik Thayman. He put huge amounts of time and money into the
renovation of the tower to make it his castle. From this time period the documents are well preserved, making the models of the original state of Talayot and the state of the castle after
the renovations remarkably precise.
After Frederik Thayman was forced out of his castle, troups of Sernova repurposed it into a mountain stronghold. Huge mineshafts were dug by prisoners, just to make place for new ones.
A group of people calling themselfes the Zarisse raided the castle during wartime. The weakened soldiers guarding it lost a horrible battle. Most of them were killed, the surviving few jammed into the mineshafts with the prisoners.
The Zarisse kept defending it, defeating a whole battalion on the bridge at one point. The violation of their contract with Sernova and their more and more extreme ways of the Zarisse lead one of their youngest members, Jocelyn, to the decision to wipe them out of existence. He then collected the Zarisse’s library and started to preserve and expand it.
Over the time, more and more people came, outcast, unloved, weird, making the castle into a palladium of knowledge, guarded by those nobody cared about.
I'm in the process of designing a trademark for a fictitious unconventional travel company called Outback. It's a school project, in case that wasn't clear.
This company caters to students and budget travellers, but mostly students. The kinds of unconventional travel that is offered include arranging couches to sleep on in other cities, arranged hitchhiking and ride sharing, possibly even house swapping (if you think I'm nuts, search the Internet for these things. There are organizations that actually do these things. It's nuts).
I'm trying to have fun with this so the logo ideas look kind of goofy. I'm also trying to think of logos that would work as part of an overall look and feel for the company's web site.
For what it's worth, the ball on the bottom row in the middle with the starting point (circle) and ending point ("x") got the best reaction from the rest of my class so that's the winner.
