Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is yellow day at Color my World Daily and it was truly a long time since we had a banana on this Photostream. This is a perfect day to show you my yellow picture of Republica Santa Banana. If you are a French Quebecer, I’m sure Santa Banana will ring a bell. For all other, Santa Banana is a fictitious place from a cult French Canadian movie called Elvis Gratton (yes, it is about Elvis !! And much more) …So can you imagine living in Republica Santa Banana ? Beautiful yellow sky with awesome clouds… tiny colorful houses and all the bananas you can eat… however, the wi-fi isn’t that good according to some… So will you be able to live without wi-fi in beautiful Republica Santa Banana for 6 months ? Eating only bananas ??

The flower has been notably featured in the graphic novel V for Vendetta, but in the movie version, is renamed to the fictitious "Scarlet Carson" which Ruth grows for her partner (Valerie) and V grows during his imprisonment in the Larkhill Resettlement Camp. They were portrayed in the film by red 'Grand Prix' roses.
I think…The wonderful thing about SL is that you can find a place perfect for the mood of the day.

From my frame of reference, this is an example of centripetal force. The skater might feel fictitious centrifugal force (fictitious because, well, feelings have no place in physics : )). Correct me if I’m wrong -- I never knew a ton of Newton…

When the euro was introduced in the European Union, there was a lot of discussion about what should be on the different banknotes. Each country thought their own bridge was the best and wanted it on it. They couldn't figure it out and at one point they asked an artist to create fictitious bridges for the notes. About 10 years ago the city Spijkenisse developed a new project. Dutch designer and artist Robin Stam came up with the idea to replicate the fantasy bridges on the various banknotes in real life. From the first installation of the special bridges, people from all over the world came to see them with full admiration in Spijkenisse. The bridge in this photo is on the 10 euro note

Harambe, also known as the Port of Harambe, is the fictitious city which serves as the setting for the themed "land", Africa of Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida.
I didn't want to take any pictures of 'Gelert's Grave' as I believe it to be a fully fictitious grave (see the explanation under my previous photo). The 'grave' is just a stone under two trees, but it's a nice, short walk to it. When you walk towards the site of the grave you pass the Church of St Mary.

When talking about energy poverty by the political lps gives me the laughter ... that it is clear that poverty is poverty or misery. When you do not eat or take shelter in a home and you have no sanity.

The so-called Dreimäderlhaus ("House of the Three Girls") in the 1st district of Vienna is a townhouse from the late period of the Josephinian Classicism. It was built in 1803. The name of the house is based on a fictitious romance between the composer Franz Schubert and the three daughters of a master glazier, who lived here. Hans Bartsch created this legend for his influential biographical novel "Schwammerl", published in 1912.
I love the mysterious world of fungi! There are so many ways to let your imagination go and play with ideas. This was taken on Thorswood nature reserve. This set of three is curious mushroom which deserves a more interesting name than 'the parasol' but hey ho, that's what it's called!
I thought I'd venture into the world of goblins and elves with the edit (a recurring theme I know!) I hope it conveys something of that fictitious world.

A small vintage Original "Steiff©" Figurine
Macki (Mecki) is a fictional character who originally comes from a puppet film by the Diehl brothers and later became the mascot of the "Hörzu©" Magazine as a comic character. The hedgehog owes its name to the former editor-in-chief of "Hörzu©", Eduard Rhein. The editorial hedgehog gave its name to the Mecki hairstyle :-)
Mucki and Macki are a pair of figurines produced by Steiff© and here Mucki is the hedgehog girl

I guess this post could be for a fictitious "Dash-2 Tuesday"? Either way, on August 9, 2010, D&H Train 414 heads south passing Momentive (formerly GE Silicones) in Waterford, NY. The railroad used to call this location "Old JA," as this is where the D&H's former Rensselaer & Saratoga line from Green Island used to come in after going through Van Schaick Island, Peebles Island, and traversing the street running on Second Street in the Village of Waterford. The latter line has been gone since the early 1970s, and even CP SD40-2s on the Colonie Main are a thing of the past.

Purely fictitious domestic conversation:-

She: Classified information? Oh God. BTW Sonny was playing with your iPhone this morning. He wanted to do what Siri said.
He: Don't worry, darling, I don't give my password to Sonny.
She: Don't need it, he held the phone up to your face and said "Smile, Daddy". You did and wondered how the picture turned out!😀

Song 9 in the Playlist series is Kenni and the Jets by The Fearless Flyers. Obviously, this is a cover version of Elton's John's classic, Bennie and The Jets.
For me, this photo was a lot of fun to make, which I think is apt, given how much fun the song itself is to listen to.
And speaking of fun...
Fun facts: Elton John described the main character in the song, Bennie, as a "sci-fi rock goddess". Bennie and the Jets were a fictitious band created just for the song, and the song is sung from the point of view of one of their fans. Apparently, Bernie Taupin saw the band as a sort of proto sci-fi punk band, and pictured the band members as female androids.

Where Do The Children Play? - Cat Stevens
.....
Dear Stevens: Decades later, the problem remains unchanged. But perhaps the reality is a little sadder. Today, when children leave school, they don't stay in the squares, in public parks, or on the streets, playing, for example, soccer. They go straight home and shut themselves away in a world of surround sound and a giant screen. They play at killing soldiers, at commanding armies, they play soccer... they know how to dribble and control a digital soccer ball, very skillfully, with their index finger guiding a mouse. They do it infinitely better than when they dribble or pass a leather ball with their leg during recess at school. Today, when a child leaves school, they go straight home to immerse themselves inside the silicon chips of Silicon Valley, to play on a smartphone, an Alienware computer, or a PlayStation. If you suggest a game to a child, for example, playing "Hopscotch," they will most likely ask if there is an app for their smartphone or computer. If you tell him there's no app for this game, something might surprise you... if there's no app where you can play this game... he simply won't be interested in your game proposal... he won't be interested.

Tea For The Tillerman - Cat Stevens (1970)

The lines we see on a map that demarcate one country from another, one region from another, are merely fictitious. If, according to the map, you are in China, for example, and you walk a few meters to where the map indicates you are in Mongolia, little will have changed. These are transitional zones where their richness lies precisely in their mixture of languages, customs, religions, ethnicities, and facial features. In the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, the Uyghur ethnic group is the majority in this region of northwest China, and they also inhabit border areas such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The Uyghurs are the sum of a rich and complex mix of Turkic, Persian, and Indo-European cultures. The Uyghurs are, fundamentally, a Turkic-speaking people, meaning that their language belongs to the same language family as Turkish. They share a common ancestor with the Turks who migrated to Western Asia. The ancestors of the Uyghurs established a powerful empire, the Uyghur Khanate, in what is now Mongolia. After the fall of this empire, they migrated to the Tarim Basin, in present-day Xinjiang. However, it is perhaps the Persian influence that is most evident in their culture and in the modern Uyghur language. This influence is found in the names of people and, above all, in the names of places of Persian origin or with Persian influence in Xinjiang, as is the case with many historical oasis cities in the region, such as Kumul (Hami in Chinese). The border with Mongolia is located about 300 kilometers northwest of Kumul. It is important to note that the Uyghurs are predominantly Muslim, so you will not find Buddhist monks in most of the region; there is no significant Buddhist influence. Similarly, Mongolia is a deeply Buddhist country (Tibetan Buddhism), where you'll find little Muslim influence, only a few ethnic minorities like the Kazakhs. But it's in these border areas where you can find nomadic Buddhists or Buddhist monks. This mix is visible in people's faces and perhaps even more so in something common to Uyghurs and Mongolians: the presence of yurts. Very common among the nomadic Uyghurs, these dwellings vary slightly in Mongolia, not so much in their construction but in their name. They aren't called yurts, but rather "gers," a Latinization of the Mongolian word. And another thing they have in common is that you still see children playing football. Perhaps the bond uniting humanity isn't religion, political ideas, art, or culture. Perhaps the most widespread bond among humans is... football. Marx, in a context that must be understood, coined the phrase that "religion is the opium of the people." You may agree or disagree with this idea or with his ideas, but you must understand the context in which Marx wrote his ideological theses and his phrase... it was a context where football didn't exist. Perhaps, if Marx were alive today, he would change the content of his phrase and instead of saying that "religion is the opium of the people," he would change it to... "football is the opium of the people."
PS: Image edited exclusively in "blue and garnet" (FC Barcelona) and players in red kits, like the Reds at Anfield (Liverpool), my two "opiates" teams from my childhood.
