I was in San Diego this weekend for a quick trip to visit some family. Before we left Sunday afternoon, we stopped at a dog beach near Ocean Beach to meet up with a friend.
I have never been to a dog beach before, and it was such a funny site! So many dogs running, jumping, fetching, and playing! It made me want to get a dog so bad!
I happen to see a man with his dog (pictured here) playing fetch and this dog was getting some serious height! Eventually I got to meet and chat with the owner, and got his email address to send some pictures to him! I love meeting new people (and doggies!). Thanks for the great photo opportunity!

Hope managed to wear herself out pretty thoroughly about 2 days into our 4 day trip to Lake Tahoe. She made it look like she was going to run after her floatie toy for this photo, but she slowed to a walk right after I took it.
a sneak peek at the Fetch! set at WGBH's new production facility in Brighton, MA. (Sorry, no more 0-2-1-3-4...)
A dog retrieves a weighted bottle from Lake Michigan that its owner had thrown out into the water for it to fetch.

I was playing around with the Timer on my iPhone, as it’s hard to take a picture AND throw the ball.
So I set a 3 second timer, waited until the warning sounds and chucked the ball. The camera took a burst of 10 pictures.
Since I was outside (playing fetch) I didn’t stop to see what I got. I did it twice and then put the phone away.
The result?
I should have thrown the ball sooner, as most of the shots were of a fluffy rump far in the distance.
That said, I think the “technique” has merit and I will definitely try it again.

Peet and Barnaby prototypes for my "Fetch" toy that will be released later this year. So adorable :D
She has much nicer toys, but she is totally obsessed with this half-chewed orange stick that she pried off of a sugar glider toy. I was going to throw it out but I let her keep it, haha :]
Kix is pretty prould of his new ball (actually one he took from one of the older dogs. Now time to hide it.
this dog made me laugh it would jump and rush into the sea eagerly after the ball but just couldnt get the idea of fetch, would look at the ball and make his owner pick it up (not sure why she kept throwing it back into the sea)
Last week, I spotted this peaceful scene. A lazy afternoon walk with the four-legged friend. It's unseasonably warm here at the lake, warm but comfortable.
Btw, this no name lens continues to amaze me with its sharp and contrast rendering.
my first roll of film from my Slim Ultra Wide that i got from Photojojo. Its a pretty sweet, and very tiny toy camera, with a huge wide angle plastic lens, which is why i get those wicked awesome colors, flair, and vignetting.
she likes fetching sticks.
