My foot was broken at the time and Tim was good enough to carry me everywhere I needed to go.

After briefly losing it amongst the fallen leaves, Dazzle finally retrieved the ball and returned it for another go. Contax Planar 50mm f/1.7, wide open.

Morning exercise for these four-legged friends and their owner on the beach at Penmaenmawr, North Wales.

It is Saturday evening.

We visit the shore and play in the sand, and I am thankful for the opportunity to do so.

In considering the many other delightful experiences we explore, I take this moment to notice blessings.

The warmth of sunshine on our bodies.

The grit of sand under our feet and paws.

The love that moves, much like an electrical current through a conduit, from one of us to the other.

The smiles we exchange with the affirmation of fulfillment.

The salty ocean breeze pushing and passing us, over, around, and between, leaving touches of chills and tastes of salt as proof.

The heartfelt memories are filling moments like these, and I am noticing each one.

So often, snippets of soulful seconds push right by without soaking into our skin farther than the March winds.

I find significant amounts of sustenance in these seemingly incidental, everyday moments and my heart is full.

It is Sunday morning and Easter.

The potatoes are boiling atop the stove. Stroodle is resting, alongside my right hip, with four paws pointing toward the heavens and her head stretching over the front edge of the sofa cushion.

Life is better with a dog.

Happy Easter, my dear friends.

He is risen.

The waves at Hanalei Bay didn't bother Coco, this gorgeous Golden Retriever who couldn't wait to retrieve the stick. She was totally oblivious to the wave about to crash down in back of her.

Roxy Bear is a great retriever, now she is adding water to her skills. She had her first swim today in the Salinas River.

I went camping and took a ton of pictures! it's great having free time. These were my favorites so I spent some time editing them. <3

Meet my dog Indie and our incredibly dirty frisbee. He knows the words play, frisbee and ball. Although this is really more about him playing than me, seeing him happy and playful makes my heart sing.

Good job fido wasn't rummaging next to Jurassic Park!!

An immature bald eagle barely held on a fish with just one claw.

That's a big stick!

On vacation, one plays quite a bit of fetch if one is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

Occasionally he gets the concept of fetch correct....very occasionally! Usually you throw the ball, he runs after it, gets it, but then drops it half through running back to you! Way more excited about his people than a silly tennis ball!

Raven and I playing on the beach. This picture was taken by my husband Larry. I like the angle of this shot and the feel of action.

I guess it's official, I am a dog bore with the photos of our new pet, Harrison. Never taken pictures of mutts before so this is a huge learning curve for me.

A lovely afternoon spent at Knettishall heath introducing the pup to the concept of swimming. She won't go out of her depth just yet, but seemed to have fun anyway!
