Little ribbons appear again, happily curled around this tiny red bottle I found at an opp shop earlier in the year.

Merry Christmas to all
Joyeux Noël à tous"
Un riflesso nel riflesso:
le luci si piegano sul mondo e per un istante tutto sembra più vicino.
Che questi giorni sospesi portino tempi migliori e percorsi nuovi.

A reflection within a reflection:
lights curve around the world and for a moment everything feels closer.
May these suspended days bring better times and new paths.

Festive seasons, Christmas gift wrapped in red paper, with a single star and some golden tinsel.
The Star, tip to tip is less than 4 cm. But for Macro Mondays, theme "festive season" it shown not from tip to tip, at least not in all directions.
The background is a a book already wrapped, a golden star and some golden tinsel.
First light source was late morning light, second light source reflection from a cosmetic mirror.
For Macro Mondays' "Festive Season" theme. This is a 7 shot focus stack shot at f/2.8 to preserve the background bokeh but capture detail in the light. It was then blended in Photoshop with an HDR to recapture some of the blown out bits in the focus stack. It's more of a technique exercise than great photography!
The theme for "Looking Close on Friday" on the 1st of December is "first name" where I have to portray a first name, either my own or another’s. In keeping with the spirit of the season, I always transform my photostream into a Christmas wonderland every December in the lead up to the festive season. What better way to start than with this hand written Christmas label on a Christmas present, waiting to be slipped ‘neath the Christmas tree? I hope you like my choice for the theme this week, and that it makes you smile.
Countdown to Christmas at Toronto’s Distillery District – Festive Market Lights and Historic Architecture
A seventy plus year old Christmas tree ornament discovered along with many others in the attic of Pam’s mother who passed at 99+ April, 2022. Ornament is slightly under 2 1/2 inches. Composition cropped to just under 3 inches. Sidelit in soft box with glitter paper background. iPhone flashlight aimed toward background glitter paper. Square.
Wishing you Peace, Love, Happiness and Prosperity in this new year 2020! We enjoyed visiting few Christmas Markets in and around Berlin. It was fun! This picture was taken in one of the markets.
Many thanks to all those who view, fav or comment my pictures. It is much appreciated.
There is a beautiful light show going on at Liverpool famous Albertdock at the moment for the festive season so I really think if your in Liverpool to check it out it a great site to see in the city thanks for looking paul
This jolly little fellow is my favorite Christmas oriented decoration. He always looks so happy and never fails to make me smile too. Overall he is just about 3" tall, so there's about 1 and1/2" showing. I jiggled a piece of red glittery wrapping paper directly behind him during just over a half second exposure, and managed to make him look like he's visiting Mauna Loa during an eruption. lol But what the heck, I like the effect.
Many thanks for all views, fav's - and particularly comments - all are greatly appreciated!
Happy Macro Mondays to you all!
Wishing you all happiness and cheer this festive season!
Greetings my friends.
I hope all is well with you and your family. This has been a difficult year for everyone. Unfortunately for millions of people Christmas will be very different this year, preplanned activities have been cancelled for many. Meals cancelled and get-togethers . I feel sorry for the countless people who's lives have been effected or changed because of Covid and the economic effects of this pandemic.
I hope you gain some joy and Happiness from the festive season and life is being kind to you, your families, friends and loved ones.
I hope you all have a great Christmas. I hope everyone has a happy and joyful festive season. A time for friendship and good will to all.
May your lives be illuminated with happiness, love and joy.
Take care and have lots of fun.
Importantly I hope you are well and stay healthy.
Many thanks for your kind comments and support though out the year
It means a lot to me.
I wish I had more time to comment.

Ps Lets us clap for the forgotten heroes of the pandemic, delivery drivers, shop workers, the people who decontaminate buildings and work places, the people who deliver food and supplies out of pure kindness, the people who support us and make us laugh.
Once again I must say "Take care my friends"
The shortest days of the year are here, and the world seems to hibernate!
Shooting as the first signs of dawn begin to glimmer between the trees ... then processed in Photoshop.
It called to mind a favourite artist and track from way back ... with Iain Matthews singing!
There does seem to be a subdued and darker feel to this festive season ... more muted even though the pandemic is notionally 'over'. There's a feeling that nothing is really 'over' and we are wondering what 2023 will bring.
"Darkness Darkness" sung by Iain Matthews.

Well, it's Christmas time, pretty baby

One of the rare occasion that a picture in my stream isn't taken by myself. Of course I made numerous pictures of this christmas tree on the cemetery, but my wife was there at dusk, which added a nice glow to the lights.
Treat me like you really should
Cause I'm not made of wood
And I don't have a wooden heart
"Wooden Heart", a song recorded by Elvis Presley was a composition based on a German folk song, "Muss i denn", which in English translates to, "Must I then".
This red heart is part of the wooden garland on our Christmas Tree

I bought this today in the supermarket for £3, it says on the wrapper that it is guaranteed to last for the festive season, not a chance, I’ll have this beauty dead before Christmas Eve. What do some people do with these plants to make them last until Easter ? It’s only been in the house two hours and one red leaf is off already !!
Thank you for your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.
