I bought this Hotel Del mini ornament back in 2010. Every year this historical landmark of Coronado, CA presents a new ornament and decorates their tree with a new theme each year. I have three of their ornaments and this one is my favorite. Their tree is absolutely breathtaking and this hotel is definitely worth visiting if you are ever in San Diego, CA.

Festive Coquettes inhabit humid forests, forest borders, second growth, and cerrado where they are usually seen foraging at flowering trees and behaving similarly to other coquettes. The nest and eggs of this species have been described, but overall its reproduction has been poorly studied. Near threatened species.
