Beautiful ferns on the trail to the bottom of Quechee Gorge Vermont.
Just tons and tons of them on both sides of the path and they look so beautiful because they are just coming out. Soon there will be a massive profusion which is also nice but then you can see them so individually. I love ferns! (I guess you can tell)

I really enjoy the way most any fern looks. The structure and curve of their branches (fronds? what do you call them?) and the delicate point each goes into.
Seen at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve, which is a 130-hectare site (325 acre) located on the un-dyked floodplain of the Vedder River. Managed by the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve Society, the site is known for a breeding colony of Great Blue Herons as well as a wide variety of wildlife and vegetation. (10-11-18-7196)
When it’s raining all day long, there are always the woods… This image was taken in a small forest near Portree on Ilse of Skye. While looking for details I found these nice and colorful ferns.
