Postman Butterfly, caught this one on the fence! HFF!
Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!
Thank you for your visit and support everyone!
One of those colours I struggle with on a sunny day. This was a SUPER windy day and the Poppy's were flying around like crazy.
Shot for Fence Friday.
Working off phone - hopefully back tomorrow sometime.

"I love old fences…they remind me of an era…
an age that was simple and slow.
They are rustic, pastoral…picturesque…
and harken to a time long ago.
They span generations…they are a link to our past…
In the present…they can still be our guide…
and when we climb them we gaze into our future…
waiting for us…on the other side".
Part of a poem by: Jim Yerman

The Buddhist temple Zōjō-ji main hall (daiden) fenced off to steer the visitors for the Setsubun festival right. Setsubun is the day before spring (according to the old lunar calendar) and is celebrated with the throwing of roasted beans.
No, they had not miscalculated the number of visitors, if you are wondering, we walked by much earlier in the day when they were still just preparing.
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area lies in Nevada’s Mojave Desert. It’s known for geological features such as towering red sandstone peaks and the Keystone Thrust Fault, as well as Native American petroglyphs. Panoramic viewing spots dot the 13-mile Scenic Drive. The sheltered Ice Box Canyon has seasonal waterfalls. To the south, Spring Mountain Ranch State Park features historic buildings and hiking trails.

You will find these electric fences in many tea and coffee plantations in India. Most of these are to keep the elephants away from the plantations.
We all know that elephants are intelligent creatures. The elephants in India somehow figure out a way to break these fences, some say that the elephants use tree trunks to break them. How do elephants know about conductivity, I wonder...lol
I almost missed this shot. I was taking a shot in the other direction and I looked over my shoulder and spotted this girl staring at me. And, of course, there was a fence..;) She seems as surprise to see me as I am to see her.
Here's the second in the pair of "fence notes" I took last weekend at the Delaware shore. I was thinking they looked like quarter notes, with the shadows as musical bars. Yes, yes, that might be pushing the musical metaphor a little far ... but why not?
