So I've been MIA for a very long time, unable to sew or create. So I've been easing myself in with these little projects.
Little teeny crowns, made of wool blend felt and only 2.25"x3.25" in size! These came about in my desire to find a cute gift for newborns and those people that are stupidly hard to buy for.
This one is inspired by mexican colours, not very "wintery" but it's so nice to wear a cheerful apointment during a grey day... don't you think?
Esta foi inspirada nas cores mexicanas, o que não é coisa de "inverno", mas é tão bom usar uma peça alegre num dia cinzento, não é?
I have no idea what fleece this is. I got it from the wool board last year, they had graded it quite high. It was extremely bouncy and when carded expanded beyond belief! I have battled with it for many months trying to make it nice when spun thinking I'd either do some extreme knitting or peglooming with it. Its so unpleasant to spin I finally gave up and tried felting...ta da, I LOVE IT it felts pretty firmly and with lovely texture, like Icelandic (though the raw fibres were nothing like Icelandic). It is always such a joy felting ...even the least promising holds hidden delights. I have probably at least 750g left to play with wey hey :)
Chloé kidnapped, or hatnapped as the case might be, Leah's kitty-hat.
We all agreed that it looks super cute on Chloé, and should Leah not want her hat, Chloé is more than willing to take it off her hands. :D
I've been collecting and working on these felt embroidery kits from the 1970's. Once I get them all finished, I'm planning on framing them and grouping them all together hanging on a wall. More info to come on the blog.
Felt family wall portrait. My boyfriend is a magician and so there are cards hiding EVERYWHERE in the apartment.

This is my felt dessert for the Little Dessert Feltie Charm over on www.swap-bot.com
Made with felt, all hand-sewn (the waffle cone took forever!) and embroidered details with a sprinkles and a cherry on top :)
I hope my partner likes it!
(I love to swap on swap-bot. If you'd like to do some swaps with me, I'm registered over there as Two Cheese Please. )
