Tiny owl broches made of felt.

I got the idea to make these from CornflowerBlue07, who made them for her pullips, and was kind enough to share the link to the tutorial. Thanks! : )

Latest needle felted project - still trying to think up ideas that can be used for classes on CraftEdu.

Haven't had as much time recently to work. Between my son's college schedule (and I have to drive him there), taking care of Jack and beasties and it just being very cold, I haven't had a lot of time to work as I like.

Here's my new and improved felt sushi set! I made this by request for someone. I'm so happy with how everything turned out. It really goes together nicely.

This sushi set is all hand sewn with a wool blend felt, and 100% cotton stuffing.

Needle felting allows me to add a lovely moss like texture to the base... I used 4 shades of green .

3 felt apples securely attached to super-strong Neodymium Rare Earth magnets. Each apple has been hand-stitched, with great attention to detail, and measures approximately 1-3/4 inches (4.4 cm) in length and height.

This brooch is weird. I think it looks like a coat of arms or something. I don't know how that happened.

ALPHABET SOUP

Getting a child interested in reading...

This toy has a serious purpose - introducing a child to individual letters and really enjoy it! Toddlers will have a great time pointing out the letters they know, as well as colors. Each letter made of felt, hand embroidered, and measures about 3 x 2.5 in.

One set of alphabet comes in one bag.

Let us know the baby first name and we'll include any needed double letters!

Colors are bright, may vary.

wool felt. birthday cake pincushion to send to my cousin for her 40th.

This brooch is for the swap Let's Brooch the Subject. My partners subject was an owl and colors brown, orange and black.

I made this one with my daughter but she is 3 and I kind of took over! Hah! I like his ribbon scarf and coordinating buttons!

Okay, this year's ToyFair reveals were kind of a let down, Ever After High wise. We didn't get any new lines that we haven't seen yet, I was hoping for Legacy Day Wave 3, or Getting Fairest Wave 2. Even new basic dolls like Daring or Hopper, or Melody. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed the reveals, just kinda disappointed. So let's go ever each doll from each line first:

1) Bunny Blanc- I love how her hair is sculpted, basically everything else about her. Buuuuuut, the one thing I can't stand is how lifeless her eyes are. She literally looks like she just committed murder. So, her facial expression is the only bad thing about this beauty.

2) Alistair Wonderland- I like his design, I only wish that his final product will come with the necklace and the design on his shirt. Other than that, I absolutely love this guy. One more thing though, his jacket needs to be longer.

3) Darling Charming- I am in awe of how great she turned out. Although I love this doll as much as I do, I still dislike that she doesn't have knee-high boots, or the fact that she isn't going to be released with a sword. Her face kinda reminds me of Moxie Girl, and I never really got into those. Her hair colors are perfect, kinda hard to believe that she Dexter's twin.

4) Rosaballa Beauty_ ROSABELLA IS LIFE. Her design is just absolutely perfection from head to toe. The only thing I'd change is her color palette, I love it, but I'd rather have her with just plain brown hair. Her colors should have been various tones of red and maybe a bit of green, to represent the rose?

5) WTW Maddie- I am absolutely in love with this doll, she might be my favorite Maddie to date. That hat is what I was expecting for her signature doll, and I'm so glad they gave her hair more color rather than just the basic purple and turquoise.

6) WTW Apple- I am so on board with this doll! I wasn't sure how I felt about her based on the promo pics, but now that I see her, I just love it. P.S. the red eyebrows are a great touch.

7)- WTW Lizzie- Wow. Just wow. This doll is incredibly stunning. I love everything about her, especially that crown and collar piece. She's tied of being my favorite with Maddie in this line.

8) WTW Kitty- LOVE. Can't wait for this girl! The green streaks in her hair looks great with the purple! THAT TAIL. OMG, I'm speechless.

That has been my opinions for the EAH booth of ToyFair 2015.I really wanted to see Faybelle and WTW Raven, but for some reason, they didn't make an appearance.

Did you guys like the reveals? Were there any dolls you didn't like? Any you can't stand? Any you love? Did you guys like the reveals? Any dolls you wished Mattel would have revealed? Tell me what you guys think. :)

Finally framed!

A thoroughly enjoyable ride!

They will join lots of other work in my solo show inspired by Seaham's Blast Beach next summer.

Top right is based on a deep crevice in the cliffs known locally as Ginny's Dene. It's topped by some spectacular windblown Hawthorn and Blackthorn bushes, much loved by the resident crows and jackdaws. If you look closely you might just be able to spot a couple.

The remaining two were inspired by a strange phenomenon that happens to the pools on this beach. Iron leaches into them and turns them a deep blood red. When the liquid evaporates the surface splits and cracks like ancient skin.

The image below was an important inspiration in helping me decide how to assemble the pieces..
