Australian visual artist Michael Fikaris was invited to take part in Feature Walls and painted this fantastic wall mural over the course of the last week of October 2016. It can be found in the Wellington Street car park along with works by Jo Peel, Will Barras and Kid Acne.
Slightly differently then residential glass, architectural glass is reinforced by a second layer to increase its strength for the purpose of building. All wood was rubbed down, primer/undercoat applied where necessary and painted with Gloss white.
Walls received 2 coats of Gliddens Contract Matt white. Feature walls painted with 2 coats of Dulux Vinyl Matt Atlantic Surf 5. None feature walls received 1 extra coat of the Gliddens.
Radiator also received a rub down & fresh top coat of gloss white.

This large and colourful wall mural on the side of the Shakespeare’s pub by Florence Blanchard was the final wall to be painted for Feature Walls. Florence, who was part responsible for curating the Feature Walls event, painted this vibrant piece of street art towards the end of October and the start of November 2016. There’s a tropical theme going on here and it looks fantastic – one of her best works yet!

This is the straight/original processing of the previous Minimalist Shop image. I like the tones in the other one better, but I put this one up because it shows all the skulls on the left hand wall.
