Yeasterday I went to have my lunch by the river Monnow. 2 sandwiches, 20 minutes and go back to work but ... nooooo. I've set up my pop-up tent, went in, one bite of bread and suddenly here she comes-just 2 meters away ! Maybe the kingfisher wanted to have a common meal :) "The worst" is that she stayed on the next perch for nearly an hour !! One of the most incredible break at work :)

A Christmas Eve feast being enjoyed by this female Pine Grosbeak in my neighbours front yard. I've noticed a number of them within the last few days, and was finally able to get the time to pull the camera out and snap a few shots.

Far behind on wildlife photo edits (I'll get back to Puffins soon, don't worry), but this spring Robin mother made sure the babies ate well. A mouthful of worms was a regular occurrence. They grew up strong and left the nest within a few weeks of this picture.
