Took lunch down to Kens. Home and Brian had to work but he stopped by and we just sat in the backyard with Maggie.
Mushrooms and toadstools also symbolize male fertility and virility because of their phallic shape. In China, the mushroom symbolizes long life, happiness and rebirth. Mushrooms are the food of the Taoist immortals. In China, it's believed the mushroom will only grow in peaceful times, thus it is a symbol of successful government. Some African and Siberian tribes regard mushrooms as symbolic of the human soul, In Mexico, the sacred mushroom signifies knowledge and enlightenment. Some Western myths show fairies and elves sitting on mushrooms and toadstools

Abstract manipulation of a photo I shot of my then 6 and 3 year olds on one of our many memorable bike rides through the local Civil War battlefields. You girls have made me the proudest father!
timelines merge and a memory becomes a moment in time... When all the bygone Fathers day becomes one single memory... The moment of no more...my best friend... Dad
Happened upon this yesterday at the Lambs Down Festival. The background is what it is, but I am happy with the timing of the shot.

The infamous Kingston Pen was constructed from locally excavated limestone blocks. This is a main foyer of the workshops which are off to the sides in separate rooms. The arch to the left leads to a doorway to one of the workshops. It's very attractive architecture for such a dour place of incarceration.

this photo reminds of those 'photo shoots' where they have th hot model posing doing every day stuff, like check out chick, or in this case 'gas girl'
A happy fathers day to all you dads. The person who I looked at as a father figure is no longer with us but I still love this day and celebrate being a father every day. This was a snap shot I took the other day - yes its out of focus but I don't care and just love my daughters expression. Wishing you all well!
It was 20 years ago June 12, 2003, when my father, Dean Brauer, saw the end of his battle with cancer and began his eternal rest in the Lord. That year, it was just 3 days before Father's Day. Since then, Father's Day for me has taken on a new significance. Do tears come when I remember him? Yes, but I also connect those tears with the certain hope of the resurrection that Jesus will bring on the Last Day. That helps me move through my grieving. His favorite Psalm was Psalm 121. I shall read it on Father's Day as my devotional time. Please join me!
We took dinner down to Dave’s dad on Father’s Day and spent the afternoon with him. Then in the evening, our youngest son who is a police officer and has the late shift stopped by to wish his dad happy Father’s Day.
A very old memory of my role as Father in 1979 my eldest son Asif and my younger son born later Saif ..and a daughter Samiya .

A second lightning detector was on my wish list to keep as a permanent fixture in our "go pack" for when we get back on the road. Now this very important accessory can't be forgotten at home.
I'm looking forward to the cookout this aft!
Remembering my father, Dean Brauer, who played Clarinet and Saxophone after his high school days, entered the US Army Air Corps during World War II, serving in Northern Africa, and who serviced the airplanes that performed their sorties across the Mediterranean Sea. He smoked cigars, but in reality, only smoked the first inch or so, then chewed the rest! After his honorable discharge, he worked as an auto mechanic until his retirement.
Here he was at 95, right after breakfast, every single day. I took this of him less than a month before his passing.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, DAD!
I LOVE YOU AND I MISS YOU!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL FTHERS AND FATHER-FIGURES OUT THERE!
