The forthcoming "Fast & Furious X" movie will be broken into two parts, according to actor Vin Diesel. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the statement was made. One of the "Fast & Furious" series' actors and producers, Diesel, explained that the choice was taken to allow the last installment enough time to tell its tale.

The two-part "Fast & Furious X" will, in Diesel's words, include "a lot of action," but it will also give viewers a chance to engage more deeply with the characters and the plot. He continued by saying that the franchise's last installment will be "a celebration of all that has been accomplished" over the previous 20 years.

The long-running franchise, which debuted in 2001, will have one more film before its conclusion, "Fast & Furious X." The movie will be overseen by Justin Lin, who has previously directed numerous films in the franchise, including "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," "Fast & Furious," and "Fast Five."

Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, and Tyrese Gibson, among others, who have been in previous installments of the franchise, are anticipated to join the ensemble. There have also reportedly been a few new cast members, albeit no information on their specific roles has been made public.

The first part of "Fast & Furious X" is scheduled to be released on April 7, 2023, with the second part set to follow on April 5, 2024.
